Who knows? Thing is, I think Kara is too young to remember that people clutching their pearls over music is nothing new. Ten years ago, remember the uproar the Dixie Chicks caused? People were gathering their CDs to trash them? Twenty years “gangster rap” and “sex rap” bands like 2 Live Crew had a whole court fiasco

“Yeezus, can you just give it a west already” said Taylor, swiftly.

I know he’s a douche, but I seriously felt sorry for him after reading the article. I mean, his parents didn’t even bother schooling him properly and just basically left him there to deal with the scrutiny. I think people just forget how fucking viral he was for a year. He had grown ass men and women bullying him

He’s hard to hate when I hear him talk. He’s just so young. I kind of want to give him a warm glass of milk and a cookie, tuck him in, and say “Young man, please lose your entourage and go to college. Or go on an extended service trip to a place where no one knows you. Or be a janitor in Antartica. The life you lead

Of all the things to to worry about, the mental health of this egocentric wanker is not one of them...

Because if a woman gives you permission to call another woman a bitch then it must be ok. Or something.

Kanye "asked his wife for her blessings" to... call Taylor Swift a bitch?

I get it. I promise that I only wanted to point out that we don’t know the long-term health implications. Some shops where I live are aggressively marketing (and targeting kids) with the idea that it is totally harmless, which I think you’ll agree isn’t appropriate. Those are the people I have an issue with, not you.

Only because we’re always being told how much the thing that finally helped us quit smoking sucks. I promise I don’t walk around talking about how much I loved to vape. But it really has helped a lot of people, and it's frustrating when people pass judgement on it or continue to pass on incorrect info.

That is certainly a concern, especially to me! But I have to say, I feel an awful lot better (especially in terms of my breathing) than I did on cigarettes, and these devices are the only thing that managed to help me quit, so I’m at least very much hoping that I’ve backed a substantially less risky nicotine-horse

I think the point trying to be made is that cigarettes are so addictive and full of additionally addictive chemicals that the idea that

I see where you’re coming from, but I actually think it’s quite an important distinction. If you tell people it’s a known fact that vaping is no safer than smoking cigarettes, then some heavy smokers may end up discounting a valuable way to quit, before there’s evidence to actually make a decision either way.

Yep. They are. And they’re saving a shitton of lives.

No, there is PLENTY of evidence that says it’s safer, and people have been using propelyne glycol like this for years in smoke machines and no one thought it was a problem. AGAIN, the people that use it can tell you how it’s safer. Do I think it should be made more safe? And that there be actual regulations on it?

Agreed. My first question was, which one will not explode in my face.

I can only speak from personal experience, but it seems safer, at least. I smoked for 14 years and had a chronic cough, constant headaches (probably from the coughing), sore gums, and my skin was always breaking out, but also weirdly dry. A few months after I switched to vaping, all of that went away. I have to hope

I know we're supposed to hate it and everything, but I'm almost a year without a cigarette so I'll stick with it.

You know what’s cooler than even Idris Elba or Leonardo DiCaprio?

It definitely is safer, you can feel it in your lungs. Now, I agree that it isn’t “safe” but it’s objectively “safer”, EVEN with the propelyne glycol nonsense.
