Staffers: Let’s suggest a more moderate approach.

Eh, but he didn’t have to end DACA in order to force Congress to act. This was purely spiteful and mean, which got him the same attention it always has. The more shocking and discussed/debated, the better. What next, I wonder?

Sorry this is a late “can I copy this” but I copied this to a FB post by my BIL who was all “notallstatues and this seemed to address his manufactured strawman bullshit. Anyway, thank you!

It’s after the fact, but I copied and pasted portions of your comment to my FB, which I rarely frequent but my BIL posted this “notallstatues post, TRIGGER!). So, I gave you credit but thank you for posting this.

I only watched about half the video, but I didn’t hear him read her her rights either.

OMG, I’m dying.

I can’t listen to him either.

Fuck me.

I want their children to write tell-all books disavowing them and blaming them for their horrible lives living in ignomy.

This is what I don’t get. He just embodies the stereotype of stupid looking, before he even opens his dumb ass anus-mouth. How can anyone look at that and say “leader!”

I sat in a meeting this morning with two environmental scientists and this is exactly why the flooding is so bad, according to them. Also, lack of zoning laws and sprawl into larger and larger suburban areas. There is no where for the water to go.

I totally agree. As I said upthread about Littlefinger, Bran is also a character who promised to be a major player with his struggle to get North, and now he’s petering out into a plot device to hurry up the story. Weak storytelling, but at least they made us care about these characters early on, so we kept watching.

I agree with you, but natureslayer’s post isn’t too far off from a narrative perspective. Littlefinger has done nothing but lurk and seemingly plot for the last two seasons (what exactly was he supposed to get out of marrying Sansa to Bolton?), and none of it seemed fitting with what was a pretty crafty and key player

Yeah, and Terminator 3 (did he direct that too) with the hot blond Terminator? Um, pure objectification.

As a non-Jon and Dany shipper, this is the best analysis of why they are awkward as fuq I’ve read. It may be too nuanced of fictional behaviors for many fans who expect hot sexy looks and heavy panting.

The two cis guys at our weekly viewing party are the only ones who want to see this happen. The rest of us are like, nah, ew.

They hired for looks rather than acting ability.

I’ve just finished reading Plato’s The Allegory of the Cave, having not read it in many years and thinking of assigning it this semester in my writing class. It so beautifully cautions about just governance and education, but this seems most appropriate now: “Whereas if they go to the administration of public affairs,

I’m with you until you say “don’t engage.” That got us where we are: engage people, and stand up for what is right. We can no longer (and never should have) ignore blatant ignorance and racism.
