She made the right choice at the time, considering optics, but now? Now, where we are, we need to choose Option B.

Option B is now always Option A.

If he didn’t lose those 75 coal workers left to this utter bunk, then nothing will sway them.

Spot on post, especially about the loss of freedom, “glorious anarchy,” and exploration for our children.

Yep, that’s my belief too. Not the fair and balanced bit, because they don’t interview trump critics. But that they are cowed.

Powerball dreams.

If that were true, they’d follow up with Trump critics or Hillary voters, but they don’t.

You’re more optimistic than me, as I don’t hear that tone in their interviews. I’ve drastically reduced my listening to NPR and moved on to podcasts or WBAI/Democracy Now, but when I do listen, without fail, they have a Trump supporter on. I laughed out loud and then gave you the only star I could, wish it was more.

I won’t even play the video above b/c my kids are here and I don’t want them to think this is normal or right. I could talk to them about it, but they are only 2 and 6 so I’m thinking, nope, not yet.

Thank you, I am familiar with this essay and use it with my students as well. A good reminder of its relevance.

Made in total sincerity.

I am a fan of your posts and I read The Root daily to stay informed about the perspective of black people and POC. I struggle with how to form that partnership of support without seeming to insert myself into the discussion, as a white woman. Your post illuminates that the point isn’t that black communities don’t want
