Kandy made the conscious choice, long before standing on that runway, to put that outfit and wig in a suitcase with the intention of wearing them both on RuPaul’s Drag Race and being filmed.

I disagree on this being some of the clearest and most satisfying judging of the season.

I agree, but would absolutely include Maleficent in that number. (Real Maleficent, at least. Not the retconned Angelina Jolie bullshit.)

Down vote.

The panel’s refusal to read anyone for their paint this season is driving me crazy. I really like Denali, but I’ve been screaming at her contour through the screen every week.

This is the year that I finally got around to Horizon: Zero Dawn, and it’s easily near the top of my list for gaming experiences this year. My quarantine/WFH life only lasted about two months before I was back to working in person, but I gave a hefty chunk of those two months to the game. Based on trailers, reviews,

Advice from someone who desperately wishes to be able to play RDR2 for the first time again: if you’re playing to get the best and most extensive version of the narrative talk to everyone, do all of the optional side quests that pop up before progressing the story, go for a high honor first playthrough, and (I can’t

The suggestion that people are only capable of enjoying what they already know they enjoy is far more cynical than I think you intend.

Gotta say, hard disagree on all the love for the Skywalker reveal. I saw the X-Wing, green saber, and glove, all it inspired from me was an eyeroll.

I don’t think there’s a single series I’ve watched fully represented here other than Bojack Horseman, so I can’t speak for whether or not these episodes deserve to be on the list, but I’m really shocked that neither Better Call Saul nor Lovecraft Country made an appearance.

Soderbergh’s catalog is full of a ton of really great films, many of which are more serious, ambitious, and/or “important,” but I would have no problem calling Ocean’s 11 (and Out of Sight) his very best.

As a lifetime fan of the theater experience whose pre-covid routine included an (almost) weekly Monday matinee, I sympathize with the frustration. I fully understand why a filmmaker would be a) married to the idea of their film being seen on a big screen, and b) worried about the lasting affects that the pandemic will

The Shining.

Fine, fine, fine. Make me spend a few hours looking at Charlize Theron, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Matthias Schoenaerts.

Agree with the Bioshock and Portal suggestions already made.

I had to abandon my first Fallout 3 playthrough and start over because I stupidly replaced my good save with one where a very underpowered and out-of-ammo me wandered into a building and got stuck in a basement with two supermutants and a deathclaw. Good times.

Forsaken, like Shadowkeep, was a major expansion. You can’t compare what a major expansion did with what seasonal content is doing.

It would be way too long to list the movies (and TV shows) I quote just for the fun of it. I heart fun dialog above almost anything else.

Tenet is probably at the top of my list. And I love Wes Anderson’s whole deal, so I’m also very excited for The French Dispatch.

I’m in the camp of at least the prequels tried to tell a different story.”
