This thing was on BAT, and yeah, you’re going to want to read this:
I wouldn’t put this all on Trump. Especially at the top end, the market is glutted and there are incentives galore. The cars that don’t qualify for the rebate are still getting the equivalent of it, from the manufacturer. There are still a ton of unsold 2024 EVs getting shoveled out the door.
That is a terrible video.
Gonna bet you that’s why he’s selling it. Came out the other end of this project with something far less impressive than it appears to be.
The seller’s defensive replies about the car are the best part of that auction.
Oh, boy! Another luxury brand electric crossover! We certainly don’t have too many of those.
I love how this guy goes out of his way to introduce himself as “Count François Van Der Straten-Ponthoz.”
If you can’t charge at home, and you’re not driving a Tesla, charging can be a real hassle, especially if you’re not in California or another state with good charging infrastructure. Even in California, the high-speed chargers are often full or out of service. This is no doubt too much for many people to deal with.
This car feels like such an own goal.

Given the amount of money airport bars make selling overpriced drinks to waiting passengers, mandated alcohol consumption seems more likely. Like, you can’t board unless you blow at least a 0.05 on the breathalyzer.
The whole thing is so obviously a grift/vanity project, so I think that’s a given.
I mean, I think the idea is that each station will have space to allow the cars going to that stop to pull over and make room for others behind them to pass? But yeah, it reads like a lot of wishful thinking.
My uncle had a Trofeo, and I remember the first time I saw it. I was impressed, but at the same time it seemed very weird, like it belonged in some exotic luxury car instead of an Oldsmobile.
Elon is disrupting tunnels, don’t be a hater.
Another one: Offensive linemen in football. People who aren’t familiar with the game think they’re just big dumb brutes who do nothing but push people around. In fact, playing the position requires an ability to memorize dozens of highly complicated plays and think very quickly on your feet in ways that are beyond…
I know there’s going to be 100 dealers marking these up
