Played football up till college before deciding I liked my brain more than playing... Nah, my shape now? Nah I’m not taking the ball, I’m too damn slow for it to matter even with amazing blocking, I might get lucky and gain positive yardage but.... nah.

I’ve got a cousin who pitched in college and made it to a double A

If we’re free to pick very particular scenarios, all three would be unlikely but not impossible.

This!

What, you can’t get a first down in the NFL with a penalty? I think you can. Besides, you MIGHT have a chance at a 1st down if you got a short dump off throw after your opponents blitzed the QB and might have enough time to run a yard or two to get a short 1st down.  BUT, that means all the stars need to align and you

It’s baseball. We have to assume a couple things - like the pitcher not taking you seriously enough to throw anything with a break.”

It’s baseball. I can’t hit 98 but I might be able to have the bat already out there and get lucky. Lay down a bunt and take your chances.

Is it “get a hit” or “hit the ball”? If it’s just hit the ball, I wouldn’t even attempt a swing. I’d get in bunt stance and try my best to make some contact. I think that’s your best bet. Otherwise I’d have to start swinging during the wind up.

I honestly thought I had commented on this post earlier somehow while I read your comment.

Mine is similar, awful at baseball, batted last, coach told me to lean into pitches, etc. Over the season I grew pretty good at leaning into pitches to where I was on-base pretty often. One of these times the kid at the top of

I think for me the hardest is the baseball one. The other two can theoretically rely on teammates to do a lot of the work for you. Can set you up for a screen or block for you etc. I feel like its *possible* that you get a relatively open look and then its just a matter of if it goes in, if you assume your team is

Once, in a friendly basketball game at the company picnic, the other team had the ball, and an errant lob pass was heading out of bounds. An opponent and I headed towards it, and he got there first, leaping to retrieve it and throw it back into the field of play.

I was an extremely bad baseball player. They used to start me and bat me 9th on the off-chance that two innings would take place before my spot in the batting order came up, and I could be pulled having played my league-mandated two innings.

We have to assume a couple things - like the pitcher not taking you seriously enough to throw anything with a break.

Sometimes you’ll get the “hole so big you can drive a truck through it” scenario; that’s how it’d happen, if it would ever happen.

Re: Football - Honestly, if that snarling linebacker so much as fakes a lunge at me pre-snap, I’m going to shit my pants and run off the field.

GETTING A HIT IN AN MLB GAME!

I think you struggle to grasp the intellect in most of these players if you think they even know what a congressional district is.

I bet you’re right. Some coach or player who’s upset that his boys-only league is getting ruined by an icky girl would probably cheapshot her, clothesline her on a blindside hit. It might even happen from her own team, in an intra-squad scrimmage.

I actually think it’s more likely that you would have players bitching that they feel like they “aren’t allowed” to hit her because she’s a girl, and thus has an unfair advantage.

I want to live in the world where Carli Lloyd, in uniform, takes a knee during the anthem of a Colts-Falcons game, and a stadium full of 60,000 NFL fans suffer simultaneous brain aneurysms.
