So anyone who disagrees with you, or shows even the slightest amount of impertinence, must be a right-winger? Get out of your fucking bubble, dude. Liberals are allowed to react to bullshit too.

Sure. It did wonders for all the middle-aged former NFL players who can’t get out of bed without assistance and have the thought “I should make sure that when I obviously kill myself, I shoot myself in the chest so they can see how fucked my brain is.”

LOL, so you agree fundamentally with my point then. Cool.

Fox. News. How in the hell did you extrapolate anything I’ve said to that extent? I just said I wouldn’t let my kids play football. I’ve also mentioned my admiration for a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. Do you honestly think I even know where Fox News is in my cable lineup?

How so? Show your work. I didn’t say Carli Lloyd can’t play football. Hell, I really didn’t even say she shouldn’t. I said I don’t want to see her get smoked by a special teamer if she ends up trying to track down a guy returning a blocked kick. Tell me where the sexist part is. Take your time, feel free to sound out

Prejudiced against NFL players? Guilty. You got me. I hold the prejudicial belief that a significant cohort of them would do something that stupid and awful. But that’s just my opinion, and it’s not backed up by any....wait no it’s backed up by a mountain of evidence that will get measurably taller by 11 p.m. on

Believe me, I’d be absolutely fine with either of those outcomes.

I disagree. Some coaches might. Not all of them. But I could be wrong.

Hey, let me say as diplomatically as I can: get fucked. I don’t want the current quarterback or kicker on my favorite team getting hit either. And I for damn sure won’t let my kids play football, regardless of their gender. My concern isn’t that Carli Lloyd’s frame can’t handle a hit. My concern is that she’ll

That’s a fair assumption as well. I just don’t give a shit about those players or their whining. But you’re right, it’d be a thing.

My concern about Carli Lloyd and tackling isn’t that she won’t be good at it - as Ray said, most kickers aren’t, and if it comes down to your kicker making a tackle, a lot has already gone wrong anyway so who gives a shit.

He deliberately ran a teammate off the track during a race, then deliberately used his car as a weapon on a cool-down lap, then almost certainly was texting or otherwise using his phone while he drove around in a high-performance race car in a paddock - around people. All of which happened less than 18 months ago.

I almost stood up and applauded after reading this. I’m at work. That was close.

LOL, he threw a glove. A batting glove. It weighs less than a compact disc. Get the fuck outta here dude.

I, too, find my most meaningful passion in life to be defending umpires.

I mean, fair. Still, big difference between walking the last few minutes after running 7 miles, and jogging out a ground ball after 3 hours of occasional sprints in between sunflower seed spitting and glove-to-face communication.

Sorry, but no. “Whataboutism” would be if I said “well baseball doesn’t have ties and BASEBALL SUCKS.” The original comment suggested that MLS (and subsequently, soccer) is somehow flawed because ties are inherently bad, and my response pointed out how the alternative to a tie isn’t necessarily better. And then some

Extra inning games can be amazing. A lot of times they aren’t. Overtime in the NFL can be fun. A lot of times it isn’t. Hell, even the highly-regulated overtime in the NHL isn’t a guaranteed show, though the average entertainment value is a lot higher. The commenter suggested that ties are some how a sign of MLS’s

It’s not “whataboutism,” but good for you for using your Woke-Word-a-Day calendar word today. Make sure to get a gold star at the end of class. The comment was about how ties are somehow indicative of MLS’s quality (and probably soccer’s, too), as if the concept of a tie were such a terrible thing compared to the ways

Yeah man, 17-inning baseball games with position players pitching and nobody running anything out anymore, that’s definitely better than a hard-fought draw.
