The best part about that gatekeeping thing is that it has zero enforceability on how games can or should be played. Once you take it for what it is: ego-driven noise from random people on the internet, it becomes very easy to ignore!

Seconded. These things are a must if you can do without rumble, NFC, and gyro (which I can for most games). Plus you get a d-pad.
