The fact that they had to recast Dash’s voice actor was probably an inevitability, since kids’ voices change (and the original is in his 20s now), but it still feels like maybe they could’ve aged the kids up and done this movie sooner.

Sounds like you’ve got the jist of it.
Of the ones I could understand, Australia is the clear winner. Germany and Hungary can fight it out for the non-English speaking division.
Husker Du!
That was stomach-turning.
Ok, really stoked for the RTJ Austin City Limits. From the embedded video, it seems like the sound will be a bit muddy, but the fact that Run the Jewels gets an hour on PBS gives me hope that the world is going in an ok direction (despite massive evidence to the contrary).
Every promo I’ve seen for The Resident screams “What if Scrubs wasn’t a comedy?” Hard pass.
I read a theory once that “Homer” was actually an archaic Greek verb meaning “to set to verse”
I’m not sure that’s the question though. Unfortunately, we know that Hubbard existed. Whether or not anything he said was true (it wasn’t), he existed and has followers.
I suppose it depends on how you define ‘hit’. I seem to remember “Tender” at least being played enough to qualify Blur for a second hit, though not on the level of “Song 2" obviously. Conversely, never heard “Common People” enough back then to make me certain Pulp ever had an American ‘hit’.
This, absolutely. All too often people mistake explanations for excuses.
An episode set in the future would be a lot of fun, since there are a lot of different ways the Belcher kids could turn out.
I’ve always thought Louise’s future would involve her being some kind of corporate shark, but I can very easily see her turning into some future version of Nat.
Funnily enough for a Valentine’s Day episode, the strongest connection here was between Louise and Nat, and I’d like to believe no one is shipping those two. They just get each other, man.
I wondered if it was just because I’ve been away from the show for awhile, but thank you for confirming it for me: Marge sounded way off tonight. During her rant at Frink, I actually wondered if they hadn’t surreptitiously replaced the voice actress.
Haven’t watched The Simpsons all that much in recent years, so I’m not the best authority on its current levels of quality. That said, I enjoyed this one, the “comforting hounds” in particular, at least as much as any episode I’ve caught in the last few years.
This was my thought as well. I think I’m rooting for the Vikings from here on out, but I’m not optimistic. This feels way to much like the lead up to another Patriots win and accompanying masturbatory Bill Simmons article.
If Bob’s ever gets sensible scheduling, that will be a sign it’s about to be cancelled. And I say this as someone who loves the show.
As a Gamecocks fan, I’d love it if this works out.
