There are some similarities. In my experience, both go on way longer than you want them to. Your milage may vary.

I dunno. I'd expect less "euphoria" out of a Trump-shaped ecstasy tab than "feelings of smugness, with bouts of oversensitivity, rage, and diarrhea"

We are.

I'll give it a shot, but reserve the right to bitch constantly while doing so.

That reminds me, whatever happened to Dawes?

There are a few people around here who feel that life is but a joke. They're about to be proven correct.

The skies darken, a wolf howls in the distance….

"Practically" seems like a generous way of putting it.

As a long time Northern Virginian, I consider the borders to be roughly Rt 234 in Prince William and Rt 15 in Loudoun. That said, if you want to argue Nova isn't the south, you may be right, but then we need to have a conversation about Atlanta, Charlotte, and the nice(r) parts of Florida.

Eh, it is, but not really.

And Virginia's, up untill a few years ago.

What gets me is the number of Confederate flag you see on any given trip to West Virginia, a state that only came into being to avoid joining the Confederacy.

That was my thought as well. As much as I admire their willingness to get proactive, we have not heard the last of this.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg ftw

Man, this dude really makes it hard for me to hate him.

Problem is: who's mind is being changed by this? Literally nothing about his responses to the last few weeks should surprise anyone. Fiscal conservatives who held their noses to vote against Hillary, even they had this information beforehand.

Yes, because that's the issue here. We should be more worried about the fiscal success of a Broadway production than the fact that the president is struggling to reconcile the fact that he was elected largely on the strength of hate groups versus the fact that he is supposed to at least act like he's against that shit.

Why would he? Anyone who cares enough to check already hates him, and his supporters will just scream "FAKE NEWS!" like a bunch of toddlers who don't want to go to bed.

David Duke is a despicable piece of shit, but he wasn't wrong in telling Trump that the counter-protesters in Charlottesville weren't the people that made him president.

We already are lazy and complacent. That's how all this happened.
