Every successful console I can think of got some version of a mid-cycle refresh. Some also went on to get refreshed after the next generation console came out.

“Niche” probably wasn’t the right word, but with less than 50% of US households actually having 4K TVs, regardless of what’s on store shelves, and most of the content on those TVs not being delivered at 4K, your take was a bit more realistic than some of the reactions to it, IMO.

I suspect this with replace the current Switch outright within 6 months of launch.

Overall, I prefer the controls on the side of my seat, but if you have more complex options and seat memory, I can see why they’d be on the door to help people visualize things. It would be weird if the seat controls and memory buttons were separate, too, I guess.
