On the other hand, maybe that’s a good thing. I think it would be difficult to recapture the original magic after all this time.

People complain the focus is too small, but if it got too big there would be underdeveloped, throw-away characters, and then everyone would complain about not getting enough backstory. The shared universes that exist and are good are totally cool, but not everything needs that and in many cases that approach hurts

As much as I enjoy Fuller’s work, he just seems... exhausting. Not one of these characters are in the novel and they’ll be horrifying expensive to license, if it's even possible.

Can we throw in the Porcupine, too? He’s a great former bad guy who is in love with Jessica Drew.

Saw it, liked it, hated it, then put it out of my mind. Haven’t seen it again; haven’t even gotten the soundtrack. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I just may not like Star Wars anymore. Oh well.

Nah. I am relieved, to not have to deal with Star Wars mishigas during the Holidays. Seriously. Star Wars is dead. People like Germain won’t realize it til next year, but it died December 15th, 2017.

Exactly. I know a lot of people insist this a good show and it may well be (the clips with Jason Todd were a dead on perfect depiction of that character.), but that’s not Dick Grayson and that was never the tone of the Teen Titans. That you need Dick Grayson to be dark and damaged means you never understood his

“Did someone say murder?”

I’ll have to disagree with you. Gene would have allowed section 31 to sprout up. He would have done so because then he’d have his captains crush it down. Again. And Again. And Again.   The Star Trek universe doesn’t need a Section 31 to exist.   And I think Roddenberry would have only allowed it to be an evil that had

Marvel gets a lot of credit for their fantastic casting. I think WB has actually done a really good job of casting as well, just the writing and execution has been so god awful that no good actor can overcome it.

You’re wrong.

Why can’t they make an actual movie about a Comic Book Harley is actually a cast member of? Gotham City Sirens Harley, Poison Ivy and Catwoman done...

There were initially plans for Imperial Commando as a sequel...but LucasArts failed to deliver (like most things)

This is deeply ironic and as a result extremely hilarious.

The very article we’re posting under contains the line “Venom’s status as one of Marvel’s most popular and immediately-recognizable characters” and I feel like I walked through a time warp. Next they’ll talk about how Gambit is one of the most popular X-Men.

They want the Rebellion back, that’s the problem. It was romantic, to be fighting against evil and Facism - now the New Republic is just bureaucrats and their army.

the world-building right now makes even less logistical sense than the worst times of the old EU”

Because there isn’t really any world-building in the new movies. There are just references to the old movies, rebranded and spliced together. World building implies some sort of actual... procedure. An attempt at

This. Dameron lead a failed mutiny because Holdo wouldn’t tell him her plan because she didn’t want it getting out. He then immediately tells his friends and one random dude who are headed straight into the First Order flagship. Even if that rando could be trusted, Dameron knows that Kylo Ren can read minds. He

Poe saved the entire Resistance by taking out the “fleet killer” dreadnought which would have tracked them when they fled. This is never acknowledged in the film.

That’s crazy. So many people worship people in an almost God-like manner. No matter how much evidence is shown they’d rather believe in the most unlikely absurd explanation. I grew up watching Bill Cosy and was almost obsessed with his character as a child with no father, and when the allegations started surfacing I
