I would say they may not return, except FX has them contractually obligated for two more seasons.

Billy West is a legend but John Kricfalusi's Ren was much better.

Remember when it was briefly rebranded as "The New TNN" and they aired the beautifully animated but horribly unfunny "Ren and Stimpy" revival? Word has it, the revival was so disliked that Nickelodeon and Viacom refuse to do anything with the characters these days even though 90's nostalgia is being mined over at Nick.

Can't wait to read the comments below.

I don't always see it as lesser work but I think it often can be filler when it takes away time from written jokes, as in Ansari's case.

"This is the End" and "The Interview" (as well as their "Preacher" episodes) actually have some pretty stylistic moments. They definitely seem to be trying to avoid the standard "point and shoot dialogue" style of most comedy directors.

Rogen has made a lot of successful comedies for nearly a decade now. He also tends to make them for under $40 million which the studios tend to dig. For example, the original "Neighbors" cost $18 million to produce and grossed just under $300 million worldwide.

That movie convinced Rogen & Goldberg to swear off PG-13 big budget movies for the rest of their career.

That sounds like a lot of assumption.

Didn't Jen Kirkman come out and specifically say it wasn't Louis CK she was referring to? This whole thing about him sexually harassing women just seems like a faux smoking gun a bunch of bloggers picked up with no credibility as far as their sources go.

IIRC, a lot of the left got mad at Louis CK because he said Hillary was like a strict bitchy mother or something. So I wouldn't call his endorsement of her all in.

Ansari is nowhere near the comic CK is. Ansari's last special was him reading audience members' texts for a good portion of it. Don't get me wrong, it was funny, but CK comes out with a great hour once a year and isn't biding time with audience interactions.

This new series sounds like a neutered ripoff of "Eastbound & Down"

The whole "fan theory" community is just the worst.

Can 3 episodes really be called a "season" of TV?

This was only true for about a year. Once The Iraq War started in 2003, Bush mocking was just as common as Trump jokes. How could people have forgotten how often Bush was mocked in late night TV from 2003-2008?

No. It is. She started around 2004 and got on Last Comic Standing around 2007.

Schumer just isn't a great or even good comedian. As a comedic actress, she does well but her stand up is lacking and I think it's probably because she only was doing open mics for a couple years before she got famous and most comics earn their badge doing years of work.

She hasn't been doing comedy Twitter for a solid year. She also has a volatile personality and loves shitting on fans and people who agree with her

Adult Swim didn't embrace live action comedy like 'Stella' until a couple years after the 2005 series. It was slightly before it's time.
