A stamp on a forehead is much different than letting a company install microchips into your skul

I'm having a difficult time moving past the plot point of "employees willingly let company install tracking devices in their skulls". I mean, no matter how good your job was, I can't see anybody letting a business do that to them.

The Denise character was terrible. Bad acting and every joke with her was basically "haha, she's a lesbian but totally acts like a cool bro dude"

Futurama is great but it doesn't deserve to be aired five times a day when CC has a trove of original content.

Are you sure? Inverse just claimed it was 7 episodes.

Comedy Central has such a large volume of past original shows they could easily air all day but they insist on playing Futurama and Tosh reruns ad nauseum.

I really liked this show when it aired but in hindsight, a lot of the criticisms against it were valid and I don't think it deserves the acclaim it got. The acting was frequently poor and it came off as preachy even when I agreed with the points it was trying to make. Every comedian with a TV show now wants
to just

How many episodes is this season? There hasn't been much confirmation how many episodes we are getting. I hope it's at least 6.

I'm still perplexed what made Trey Parker voice act in this film. He hasn't starred in a movie since 2004 and it hasn't been since BASEkeball he's been in a movie written by someone else. Must be the fact he has kids now?

It was a shitty direct to video flash animated film. Comedy Central basically funded it because they realized they fucked the creators and audience by canceling it when it was popular. The animation is really poor due to flash and it shows. The creators also obviously lost their writers room so the humor was very

Drawn Together was the second highest rated show on Comedy Central during its run. It basically got canceled due to a perfect storm of reasons. The animation was costly, the offensive humor was pissing off advertisers, and Comedy Central was in a shitty financial place due to Chappelle. Chappelle bailing had such a

As do I. I will defend Drawn Together to the death. There is a lot of lazy shock humor in it but the show never got credit for how witty it could be and how much it indulged in no holds barred absurdist humor. Little known fact, some big American Dad writers that the AV Club adores came straight from Drawn Together.

I have to give credit to MacFarlane for at least admitting Family Guy is garbage these days. Matt Groening and Al Jean are still delusional saying modern Simpsons is no different from the classic era.

This is very true. Early 2000s comedies were all about lazy pop culture references. Not that this has changed a lot, but most shows and movies have tried to move away from making pop culture references the basis of their humor. Family Guy was also one of the first shows that appealed directly to ADD-addled viewers. It

That's because the 1999-2002 era Family Guy showrunners (Barker & Weitzman) went on to do American Dad. I believe Barker left when it moved to TBS but it's quite obvious where the original Family Guy writing talent went.

I have such a weird thing about Family Guy. I still believe the original three seasons were a much wittier and clever show than compared to what it is these days. The jokes could be edgy but they were more concerned with being funny than offensive. It's telling that Seth MacFarlane himself has somewhat disowned the

Didn't Louis say his show was pretty much over at this point? This whole "come back when you feel like it" season renewal thing is interesting but can leave fans cold. I think Amy Schumer is also doing it now.

I'd say "Sunny" has surpassed "Arrested" at this point. 12 seasons of nearly perfect comedy compared to 3 seasons of perfect comedy and one season of "ehhh not bad but not great" comedy.

That is very possible. I just can't see them continuing the series without Howerton. It seems antithetical to the entire show's existence.

I really hope this is all just Howerton playing coy. I don't see why the 'Sunny' gang would agree to a two season renewal knowing his character would likely be leaving like that. There is no way the show could work without Dennis. It's like 'South Park' without Cartman or 'Seinfeld' without George Costanza.
