I just watched 'Team America' and was surprised at how well it has aged so different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

IIRC, the ad campaign actually did a good job of selling it as a dark comedy. The rape scene was actually used in the red-band trailer. Mainstream filmgoers just don't like dark comedies.

That came out in theaters when I worked with high school buddies at a multiplex. I think we all watched that movie twice a week.

That's probably because Anchorman was reshot and recut every way. There is an entire second movie (from 2004, not the 2013 sequel) that was made up of deleted scenes and subplots.

There's a reason that film has been quoted to death and it's because it's still really fucking funny.

Energy drinks were huge around 2007/2008. And it seemed like LARPing got more exposure because of 'Role Models'

Get Him to the Greek suffered from too much Russell Brand. The character worked in FSM but couldn't sustain an entire movie. It's also amazing how fast Brand fell off of Hollywood.

Blame Paul Thomas Anderson. PTA has encouraged Apatow to make 2.5 hour comedies. This isn't a joke.

He's been known to be a pretty hard partier who will even drink with fans. Which I've always thought is pretty cool but it likely takes it toll with age.

Jody Hill actually wrote the role for Rogen

Its lowest rating was a 0.9 which is pretty damn good for MTV. And Judge said he was open to doing another season if MTV renewed it.

Just bring back the 2011 animated revival. It was pretty pathetic that MTV's only excuse for canceling the revival was that they didn't know how to advertise to young males anymore. It got very high ratings and still got canned by them.

At least he TRIED in Rocky and Bullwinkle. You could tell he was putting effort into it.

He is a producer but from the sounds of it, he and Evan Goldberg have been extremely hands on in the creative behind the scenes of the show.

I don't know why some people are surprised this was renewed for 3 seasons. It's one of FX's flagship comedies and they've been pretty loyal to the series since day one (remember when the first season of Archer got such horrible ratings, the AV Club reviewer was convinced it was dead?)

Where did Mike Barker go? He left AD but has nothing in development.

Alterman came in and made a concerted effort to change the channel's voice from 'loud frat bro'. The logo was one of the first things to go.

Chappelle said he left because he couldn't handle the constant badgering from fans on the street and he also was concerned people were laughing AT the racism in the series and not the satirical angle.

What probably rubbed them the wrong way was that Chappelle signed on the dotted line for a huge $$ deal then abruptly ran off without finishing the third season.

Captain Hero was such a great, deranged character. I wish they had just given him his own show.
