It does look like the cutscene stuff got a nice crisp overhaul, and the actual gameplay got as high of a resolution bump they could give those old 3ds assets. Plus the new romance features. As someone who missed out on 4 the first time around, count me in.

I would argue it’s less awful and more just straight up bland, which is somehow worse in its monotony.

Because it’ll easily move millions on Switch alone. That, and it’s probably a bit cheaper to develop for somewhat weaker hardware. It’s probably testing the waters for a full return to form because the last one (2) did not do so great.

This looks amazing, and I can’t wait.
