If you’re wondering how he got where he was, blame the brains at Sega of America. They pretty much created the character of Sonic the Hedgehog as we know him. The guy in charge of it at the time was Tom Kalinske, who was one of the dudes who revitalized the toy industry before being asked to come to Sega.

See, the problem is when he votes with the republicans as a democrat, it allows them to pretend their horrible measures are in some way “bipartisan.” That is the real problem with having a guy like Manchin around. He gives their shit a thin veneer of respectability when he does that.

The closest to a good excuse I remember them giving was that the lighting in the reference footage wasn’t the same, and was hard to translate. That said, he looked ‘slick’ and, for lack of a better term, ‘his meat didn’t move right.’
