I can forgive Elon Musk for being an insufferable asshole based solely on the fact that SpaceX was the swift kick in the ass the space launch industry needed to migrate to the private sector.

This is a great post that I can confirm applies pretty well to Vipers also.
I deal with this situation a lot with the Corvette community. Late-model Corvette owners in particular have this fantasy in their head that they have to preserve their cars, when they forget that hundreds of thousands were created. And to be perfectly blunt their cars won’t be worth anything until most of us are…
One point you did not make is salt. I drive my fun car a lot but its older, before rustproofing was even mediocre. I could drive it in the winter, it is actually great in the snow, but it will rust in short time. I have 2 other cars that are more of fun/utilitarian appliance cars that are much newer and better suited…
I really like this and I’ll use it to explain to people why I’ll drive everything no matter what!
I think there is an argument for rationing miles. At a certain point parts become hard to come by or expensive and repairs become more tedious. I still daily the car I want to keep forever, but I’m starting to think about another car to keep miles off of this one so I can feel more confident in it lasting forever.
To me there are 3 types of cars: appliances, “flings”, and forever cars. You don’t worry about miles on appliances; their whole purpose is to soak them up with minimal drama. You don’t worry about miles on flings because the whole point is to have as much fun as you can before the tab comes due. And you don’t worry…
Did you buy it because of how well it drives?
Neutral: The Taycan is amazing, imo. I see one here in my little town pretty regularly and i stare at it every time it drives by. Its a very striking car in a way that no Tesla approaches.
I went from an ‘08 IS350 to an off-lease ‘07 LS460 years ago. Just as fast in a straight line, rolled in the corners but was otherwise like driving a fast comfortable couch. I’ve since owned an ‘11 GS460, ‘15 GS350 and now ‘21 LC500 Convertible. All bought for half price or less, except the LC.

Clean out the interior. I realize this probably isn’t in the spirit of the question but it really does make driving more enjoyable.
Replace the stereo. It’s easy to do and not terribly expensive. You’ll get better sound quality to cover up the noise of the droning engine, and if you spring for something higher-end it’s really wonderful to hop into your car, connect to Apple Carplay or Android Auto, and have access to everything you enjoy on your…
If they follow Integra tradition, it’ll be a Civic with more power. I’m OK with that.
There are examples of Forza games having incorrect information in their games and it not being updated, even after people point it out to the dev team.
