I love driving, but even I wish that public transit would work for my current 1.5hr+ migration into Boston. Where I live and where I work means that it isn’t a viable option for me, which is crazy because Boston is #3 for public transit in the U.S.
Addendum to that, if driving scares you, take lessons and learn how to do it so you are not scared.
I wish they understood that a car with more gadgets/technology gizmos/conveniences/”luxury” features isn’t necessarily a “better” or more desirable car.
Non-car people’s disdain for cars doesn’t excuse them from knowing how to properly use them. Put another way, if driving scares you don’t do it.
That buying a car is not a one time purchase. There is regular maintenance that NEEDS to be done, ON TIME! Transit systems exist. It is cheaper, more sustainable, and better for just about everyone. If you truly don’t care about driving nor find it enjoyable, please consider transit.
