Certainly. No question.
Certainly. No question.
Yeah, I’m honestly tired of these headlines in liberal-leaning publications saying some right-wing loon was “eviscerated”. Even as a figure of speech they’re taking all the meaning out of it.
When I think about that term, I’m thinking about someone having a point made at them from which there is no escape, that sits…
I like how Hawley, who is a shithead to his core, asks a question and then because he doesn’t like the answer asks “GOSH DO YOU EVEN LET PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS HOW AWFUL”. Fuck you, Josh.
My suspicion is that he fully comprehended her point (well before she made it), but he doesn’t care, and his goal was to put on a show for the benefit of people who would not comprehend her point.

Warren Buffet’s favorite steakhouse is just down the street for me, and even they went way downhill. But his taste in steaks was questionable anyway.
Exactly right. I can’t afford to eat there, but I wouldn’t if I could. On dad’s business trip many years ago, the folks decided to splurge and take the family to Morton’s. All I have to say is: a $40 filet had gristle in it.
Given the number of “help wanted” I‘m seeing in restaurants, I’d say that the folks who work at Morton’s can find gigs elsewhere. Shut ‘em down!
Morton’s has had a terrible rep just in terms of fine dining for years. Steak is one of the easiest things to cook properly, and Mortons gets ultra premium cuts. Yet they consistently serve “adequate” steaks and the sides are unimpressive other than in presentation.
If she’s going to make that argument she’s invalidating cis women too...
Cis women are born with them. Trans people have to go through a lot of trouble to earn the right to be their true selves.
It’s classic conservative logic: I get my way AND I get to dictate what you get.
I’m the same ethnicity as Midler, questioning why the WLFs aren’t in a hurry to defend Gray until called out and even then they deflect by claiming persecution. Sorry for the plight of the white lady feminist, truly. It’s all very sad and not at all predictable.
Monday: “boobs ... and a vagina.” Tuesday: “it’s something you earn.” What an insipid bore she is.
Except that’s not what’s happening here. This is women who want to be addressed as women also wanting to determine how others address those for whom the term women does not or does not yet apply. They’re still being addressed as women. They’re just being included in a broader category. Your argument is basically…
It doesn’t impact anyone. It’s just more fake outrage from the usual suspects.
Right. Women are more than body parts. So if you want to specifically address people who have uteruses, it's best to address... people who have uteruses. Since women aren't just uteruses. But again, nobody is stopping you from saying women.
Don’t fall for this lie. Trans women are not dominating any women’s sport. None. Ask for examples when people bring this up
I agree that women are more than a series of body parts, which is why it’s dumb to pretend that “women” is synonymous with “people who can give birth” or “people who menstruate” or “people who have a uterus.” Using more accurate and precise language than “women” to describe people who do things like menstruate…
202X “feminists”: men are clearly superior!
