Calling attention to a few outliers and painting them as representative of the whole is something of a common tactic. Intentionally leaving some vagueness to hide in when called on it does not obscure your intent.

As I said, there were one or two people who adopted the latter position. But you seem content to paint them all with the same brush.
I would hasten to point out that there’s a pretty big difference between “I can’t bring myself to be overly concerned about this, because he’s a bigot” and “he deserved it because he’s a bigot”, and I haven’t seen more than one or two people here who are espousing the latter.
Man that’s an impressive collection of straw men you have there.
Not surprising, unfortunately. I guess he’s becoming proof that being progressive in one way doesn’t mean you are in others (like killing affordable housing because it’s too close to your own yard).
Right? When it comes to things outside his personal experience, dude is a hack.
Assuming makes an ass out of you.
And, like basically all of his trans-centric stuff, it was the lowest of the low hanging fruit. Dude had some insightful stuff to say when it comes to race, but get outside of things he knows personally and he immediately turns into a grade-A low effort hack.
Gods I don’t think there is any sadder breed of person than the “terminally online nutjob who has Strong Opinions about JD/AH”.
Your prejudices say more about you than they do about me.
Assuming makes an ass out of you.
Are the straights ok?
Thank you! It’s like all that hollow horseshit he has been peddling about the recent spate of anti-trans laws. “I’ve got your back”? Kiss my ass, Mr. President. You’ve done very nearly nothing on the subject, while we’re out here literally fighting for our lives.
Right?
I think the issue is that you need to convince a TV corporation to back such a show, and recent times have really underlined that TV execs are almost entirely shallow, cruel, sexist, craven bigots. As such, while I bet you could get another drag-queen-centric show off the ground, a drag king one might run into more…
Orrrr, maybe: Ru Paul’s position is one that fully occupies any space available in the “selling drag culture to the masses” racket, and as such his refusal to include drag kings is not just further evidence that he’s an intellectually uncurious person with a lot of existing prejudices, but also that commercializing…
There’s some limited evidence that puberty blockers may cause similar issues to delayed puberty in kids-cardio effects, lower bone density, that kind of thing. Of course, the flip side is a lower chance of cancer, as well. These things are discussed with the kids and their parents beforehand, like any other…
Kind of astonished by the number of people in this comment section who seem to believe that there must be a “good” side and a “bad”side in all of this. Y’all. They can both be bad people. I’ve seen no evidence to the contrary so far.
Oh my gods yeah. Like, that dude probably wants to do that so bad, he’s lurking in bushes near Will Smith’s house, waiting for him to walk past.
