See, people keep posting stuff like this and I wonder if they missed the fact that this was the alternative to the already-approved plan, the one without any affordable housing. Which is why things are going from “some affordable housing” to “no affordable housing”. Nobody’s really been able to post any information…
The city builds schools. The developer builds housing. Tanking affordable housing because the city hasn’t built a new school (in addition to their existing ones) to serve it before the housing project has even been approved seems like, at best, a fig leaf of a reason.
Any links to show this?
Technically they’re potato crisps. I mean, it’s not necessarily a hill I want to die on, and it’s not a question of whether they’re a good product or not, but claiming they’re potato chips is akin to claiming SPAM is a pork chop.
There’s, like, a dozen different pubs that all claim to be the “oldest in England”, and each one can back it up using a different method (one has parts of a building from 947, another documents some dude having started brewing in their building in 953, a bunch just say “according to legend”). I think I, a Californian…
I mean, he called someone a tranny (and a sex worker) in 2011. But, while that is a worthwhile conversation to have about his past attitudes towards the trans community and how they might have evolved in the last decade, we also need to be aware that it is only being brought up now by right-wing trolls and other bad…
Look man we gotta find something to be puritanical about, and for a reasonably left-leaning person the options are pretty slim. The only real option at this point is to start Tumblr discourse about how feeling lust for anyone/anything is either paraphilia, rape, bestiality, pedophilia, or some combo thereof, depending…
Yes, Stern has never been “cancelled” before. You dullard.
Near as I can tell, most of the people calling for the Rock to be cancelled are right-wing trolls. The ones quoted in that article certainly don’t seem to be doing it out of their love for the trans community.
He’s got sort of the blandest “yay for everyone” kind of brand going, like Coke or Chevron. I can’t imagine why he would then go out on a limb for Rogan, given that right now he’s such a radioactive topic. For someone who’s the celebrity equivalent of plain rice, it’s a weird move.

Unfortunately, the internet is a shithole.
No worries about the book, haha! I totally agree on the idea that just being open, and being open to discussion, is how we make progress. I try to impress that on the younger and more hot-to-trot in the trans community when I can, but it can be hard for folks who are finally out and want to put that sudden release of…
It’s weird, as a trans woman who came out in the very early 2010s, and grew up in the 90s, to see just how much things have moved since then. The idea of, say, Ace Ventura being made today is simply unthinkable. At the same time, in some ways our position seems even more precarious, because for a long time nobody…
Yup, I agree. I’m always surprised by how many people seem to have the attitude of “I’d be okay with trans women competing, but sometimes they insist on *winning*, and that’s just unacceptable.”
You can be a woman if you want to.
Actually it’s generally pronounced “blip”.
Yeah, claiming that nobody’s having to work to allow trans men to compete against other men will probably come as a shock to Mack Beggs, who made national headlines for, well, that very same issue.
Does that science require that women and girls win?
