I could be completely wrong as I know little about cosplay and these conventions but I thought he looked like Zimos from Saints Row?
Ha really? I shall have to try that on my next trip!
I like to amuse americans i meet by talking about knickers constantly...
I always paid my own way and to be honest most of the guys I’ve dated have expected it or at least not insisted on them paying. The ones that have been insistent I was equally insistent that I paid the next time. That’s equality folks.
Well I already got my wish with Twin Peaks so... I’m going with Space 1999. What? Don’t look at me like that, reminds me of my childhood.
Yes I think I’ve said something similar on this thread but I don’t know where as I find navigating around here quite troublesome :(
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Would you be able to explain what you feel you gain from this support group especially 3 years later? I know this may sound like a question with a terribly obvious answer but I’m just interested to hear what you think. I lost my mum 3 weeks ago and it’s a whole lot different from when I lost my dad (we weren’t close…
Be nice to your wife now, she knows where you sleep and has access to the knife drawer :)
I really enjoyed it and I think if you like his writing in general then you’ll enjoy it too. So many themes are covered from race, gender, class etc but not in a lecturing manner, just very interesting and thoughtful book.

I always like to do the mother test for standard reactions to certain words as my late mum was a pretty good barometer. Say in conversation to her that someone was a bitch, I’d either get a nod in agreement or a slightly…
Glad to know I’m not alone.
I’ve had ‘A suitable boy’ hanging around in my bookcase for over a decade now. The size keeps putting me off :)
Yes, I really enjoyed it, a real page turner for me.
Sorry I haven’t read that so I couldn’t tell you. I bought it after reading the Virgin Suicides which I thought was great and I enjoyed Middlesex very much, very interesting book.
Well part of problem stems from ethnically east asians using it to refer to themselves. My husband got told off for it by some white guy whilst visiting the US for using it...my husband is ethnically east asian...
Hugs to you, losing a furry member of your family is awful, I’m dreading losing my furry critters. She’s a lovely looking pooch and I’m sure she had a very happy life with you.
Not sure I have much advice for you other than the usual stuff of looking after yourself and take one day at a time. As for your mum life obviously is going to be very different for her as a new widow and she will need support with that transition. Do either of you have friends or family that can help support you…
