You know, I never got around to playing RDR, though I've always thought there was an immense amount of untapped potential in the western genre. In particular, I thought an incredibly interesting RPG could be made out of western "mythology." Nothing like Wild Arms though; something gritty and more realistic that

@Ganon255: Yeah, I thought it was great. In my experience at least half of the people who bad mouth it have never even listened to it. And most of the others seem to be unable to get over the fact that Slash isn't on the album, even though he's been replaced by superior musicians.

@bakagaijin: Maybe EA will make a game that people can actually play. From what I experienced of The Bourne Conspiracy, the damn thing played itself.

I think the bigger problem here is his complete lack of journalistic integrity as a whole. I mean, sure, he's writing a puff piece for a magazine, so it's not like he's expected to be as unbiased or balanced as someone would for a hard news story. Regardless, I still expect a little more from the staff of a national

@Komrade_Kayce: Buckethead actually plays on almost all of the songs on Chinese Democracy, if not all of them (I don't have the booklet for the CD handy to confirm).

Rock Band does focus a lot more on the music aspect of it. They have interviews with artists on their website, and detailed info for all of the songs in the game (almost all, some are still being worked on).

He must not have played Call of Duty 4 to completion, then.

@undefined: @spaceghozt: Yeah that sounds like a valid explanation to me. I was more basing it off of my own experience, where 7's are usually ok, at least rent-worthy and MAYBE worth a buy if you're a fan of the genre. Problem is, I don't think most reviewers realize that they have the same way of looking at the

@MehGinla: Agreed. Though I think Ultimate Alliance shifted things too heavily to the action side, which left me wanting more RPG elements. I think the first X-Men Legends did it right, they just need to make the actual gameplay more interesting. Running through corridors and beating up bad guys is fun, but I'm sure

Am I the only one who finds nothing about Gears of War at all interesting?

I find the responses hilarious because they perfectly capture the concept behind each developer's respective work.

I never even used the typewriters in RE4, I just played through whole chapters. So...meh.

How silly.

That actually didn't look nearly as bad as I expected.

Looks like I'll be splitting the cost of the actual disc with some buddies.
