I’m... not sure that was a documentary.

There are shamefully few bikers that wear helmets in WI, and there are a lot of bikers. I’d always feel the silent laughter when I’d pull up with my 3/4 helmet on. It didn’t help that I was on a scooter, surrounded by Harleys. But, my head is intact!
It would be fucking terrible, but it isn’t, because it isn’t true (note Guestifacci said ‘guess’). The uniforms for men and women are not identical. Women are issued skirts, too, so I don’t see how anyone would believe they’re forced to simply wear ill fitting trousers.
I’m sorry, but why are you implying this statement is immature? I’m in my late thirties and feel the same way. I wouldn’t enjoy being pregnant, my medical history tells me the kid is doomed, and I like my life with no kids. Someone that considers the downsides of pregnancy and having kids seems mature to me.
I’m really confused here. She was not traveling with an infant. Why would the airline be aware of her need to pump, unless she specifically told them “I’m going to pump, I’ll be right back”? Even then, I’m not sure the airline has a responsibility to hold the flight for her.
I love this idea!
It’s a play on Aloe Vera, a plant that’s often featured in lotions.
I don’t know, I’m always up for picking on millennials (as a college professor, I’m surrounded by them on a daily basis), but I can find you plenty of 50 year olds that still haven’t mastered half of this list.
I’m old and out of shape, so I’ve long assumed that my professional cycling options were limited at best. I’m so excited to find that I still have a chance!
I don’t disagree, just stating what’s actually happening. It’s really two separate issues: (1) have a woman on a bill, and (2) remove Jackson from a bill. They don’t necessarily have to go together. The $10 needs updating now, the $20 doesn’t (as far as technology goes).
The $10 bill is due for an update sooner, and the $20 would have to wait another 10 years before any changes are made. So, putting a woman on a bill is faster on the $10. Jackson will be replaced, just not any time soon.
Zoo kill more animals than poachers.
My mistake if you were talking about your own kids - I took your comment to mean you taught 6th grade! The fact that you’re interested in how your boys are doing bodes well for their future.
Not to diminish your hopes, but I teach at a university, and this would be pretty good writing for our students. I doubt all of them could properly define or use ‘antagonist,’ for instance.
So you see no possible room for any other explanation? There is no good reason for rape. There is no acceptable reason. But there are others, and insisting otherwise is detrimental. The perpetrator of any crime is showing a form of contempt for their victim - but this does not mean the crime is motivated by a hatred…
Rape is NOT LIKE MURDER, especially when it comes to intent. This is not a drill: these things are not alike and approaching them with the expectation of similarity will leave you in illogical if not stupid places.
The majority of those diagnoses would be for things like anxiety disorders and/or depression, which would very rarely be a successful defense for crimes punishable by death. There’s no automatic pass - clinical diagnoses don’t equate to legal definitions of insanity or mental illness.
I completely understand - as I mentioned in another comment, I grew up on a farm and we depended on our trucks. It’s the trucks that have never been near a speck of mud that I wonder about. My neighbors bought a gorgeous Tundra last year, with the premise they’d use it when they go hunting, even though it barely fit…
Oh, I certainly see the reason for them. I grew up on a farm - we always had at least two. But now that I live in the city, I just want to ask people why they put up with the frustration: parallel parking, narrow streets, plus not keeping anything in the bed because it’ll only get stolen. And it seems the truck…
Beds are getting shorter, and the cabs are getting much longer. Modern trucks seem much more preoccupied with interior comfort and performance than utility, at least the kind of utility that necessitates a pickup in the first place. I’m not sure why more pickup drivers don’t just get an SUV - hauling doesn’t seem to…
