This is sort of how Insomniac supporters feel about Sunset Overdrive right now only, you know, way more mad. But I don't see people writing petitions and whining about it.
I love how this is suddenly an issue because PlayStation users are getting content first this go around. I didn't hear all of them bitching about the CoD DLC coming late for PS3, or the GTA IV DLC, or the Skyrim DLC. Now that it is their turn though oh the injustice!
Jesus. Other than Microsoft's deplorable ethics, this is why I don't own an X Box. It seems to just be inundated with entitled brats.
I don't get it. I never got to play Halo because I was a PS2/PS3 owner. I didn't complain that Halo never came to these consoles. Same with Mass Effect. But lo and behold, years later, at least I got to play the ME trilogy. Just give it time and I'm sure everyone will get everything they want.
Xbox owners, you're getting a lot more of Destiny than Playstation owners ever got of Halo.
The game's narrative and the actual gameplay itself is super conflicting.
Think of it like a movie studio delaying the release of a film to maximize its opening weekend sales, either to capitalize on a bigger audience or to avoid competing with another big release. They could release the film right when it's finished, but it might harm ticket sales in the long run.
But didn't microsoft said indie games can't go to xbox if they're released on their competitors console first?
I can learn to become a professional hacker from playing Watch_Dogs? Is this like that time GTA taught me how to be a Drug Smuggler? Or like that time Half-life taught me how to be a Theoretical Physicist?
Am I the only person who has no interest in this feature and is annoyed that there's a button solely dedicated to it?
...because handling a CD/DVD in a manner that does not lead to scratches is apparently rocket science. Right.
The greater good? That sounds awfully subjective to me. I think you mean for the good of people who want motion controls in games. For people who favor traditional control schemes, it's better to get consoles cheaper and to have less development resources squandered on motion games.
Copy paste 'Motion Control' for 'VR' and this article is good to run again sometime in 2016.
This chart has been purposefully crafted to raise your hackles, and it succeeded. What I see here is a regular and collector's edition for two different regions. The "Special" edition I'm only finding at Game in Europe — it might be available from a U.S. retailer, but I don't know which. The uPlay exclusive edition,…
As a general rule, slippery slope arguments/appeals are bullshit. How long until games start segregating major characters or important sequences between editions? A seriously long time, if publishers intend to make any money off of it. The bottom line is we've arrived at this system because the market is saturated…
If GameStop ever goes up for sale, like, to avoid bankruptcy or something, I think they should offer potential buyers a preorder bonus. Maybe certain stores come in a collector's steelcase. Or maybe you'd get lenticulars of regional managers. Or something involving Cloud Strife.
I'm in the same boat as your friend, actually. I recently inherited a PS3 because my cousin got a PS4 (inb4 "joke's on him") and now I'm scrambling all over obtaining and/or borrowing games across the PS3's history. I'm looking forward to playing what I've missed while I was busy being a 360 fanboy.
And yet, Final Fantasy VI is a much more compelling and satisfying game than Temple Run or Angry Birds. $16 for FFVI is reasonable-ish. $1 for Temple Run or Angry Birds, while "great" for the consumer, is terrible for the devs, plus, it creates these kinds of comparisons.
I agree that X-2 was a disappointment. The combat was pretty good (I also think the original X was better), but that doesn't magically make the story and characters better or interesting. Half the reason I play RPGs is for an interesting story and characters, so if those suck then half the game is terrible to me.
