It all really depends, and until we get a non Japanese release, no one can say for certain, but playing the devils advocate:

Did I miss the detail, or did they not say if their console release is digital or retail? Retail = backing, Digital = I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
Reskin the original, and put it on the PS4 and they have my $60!
I think you think that Dragon Quest Builders is Minecraft with a Dragon Quest skin. Its not. Its a JRPG with many Minecraft elements. It has a narrative, quests, and challenges.
To be fair, this is what every group has been spewing since time began. Be it politics, religion, social choices, favorite color, etc... Its not going to stop as long as one person can find another that shares their hate of everything not them.
I feel the same way. To me, “Greenlight” is a system by which Steam becomes more like the App Store. With a bunch of random garbage by people that can’t actually design a game (or can’t see it through), with a rare gem every now and then that people can point at and say “See, its successful!”.
I never really got into it, it seemed like a very generic shooter. Nothing other than the system requirements and the name to make it stand out from the mass of generic FPS games. I am not real big on FPS games that don’t have something other than point and shoot going for them though, if thats your style, then you…
Well keep in mind that most PSN downtimes do not mean you cannot play games online. Many games only use the PSN for the initial connection handshake (they don’t utilize Sonys servers, unlike the Xbox which more or less requires one to use their servers) so work just fine if you started playing before the downtime…
A couple of notes. The PS3 (with 80+ million) does not require PS+ to use the network, and the PS4 only requires it for a certain type of title. Given that we get 6 titles per month with PS+ subscription, and that most PS users get PSN completely free of charge (and they still have to maintain all of that), I would be…
The problem isn’t that its weak, its just as good as the Xbox Live’s servers (not the service). The problem is that Sony doesn’t have a multi-billion dollar cloud service (thats separate from Xbox) like Microsoft does, so they don’t have the benefit of that architecture (which tends to bounce you to different server…
Two things.
I have been a PSN subscriber since day one, and I can count the number of times it caused any issues on one hand. Most of the games I play online still work perfectly when the PSN is down, so I have no complaints.
I wish this. Make it so!
It was out for a couple hours, so you get a day free. You got more than you lost. You think Sony should give you a free week or month for being down a couple hours? Please.
This is one of the few games I play on PC, and I would be very happy to have it brought over to consoles, even if it means buying it a second time.
This is why I like the PS4s solution, allowing you to swap the internal drive rather than the Xbox One amd WiiU solution of external drives.

The only thing I don’t like about getting all these PS2 classics is that it reduces the chance that they will make an HD remix of those titles!
It really does feel like that. They had a couple sentences worth of content, and decided that they needed to stretch that out to cover a few pages. I am surprised that its not a larger font, with double (the normal) line spacing.
It’s only amazeballs if there is content to back it up. The GearVR right now is pretty impressive, but there is nothing to do on it, other than a handleful of small indie games that are not very interactive, so it sits idle. If it doesn’t have a critical mass, if sales don’t reach some magic number, development will…
Thats not true at all, this generation is no different than every other generation in the history of consoles. Adjusted for inflation, nearly every (successful) console in history has sold for about $400. The 3DO, and other failed consoles sold for quite a bit more, as did the PS3.
