Why does it need to be upgraded in 2-3? Why can't it last 5+? I haven't upgraded my gaming PC in 5 years (it wasnt really high end to begin with) and its still playing games just fine. Sure, I can't play Crysis 3 on decent settings, but I wouldn't play it anyway. There is no PC game available that I want to play that

This is the exact style of Steam Machine I was hoping for. If I want to upgrade the hardware (which might happen once every 5-10 years), I'll just buy a new one. This is the thing I love the most about consoles.

Nintendo has never been an innovator in the console space. The NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, and WiiU are nothing more than incremental spec bumps from the original NES. And at that they are very safe and relatively minor spec bumps with no innovative features. The only thing that wasn't a boring incremental jump is the

I wish that Nintendo could focus only on software and that we can have more than one companies platform that could enjoy the software. Ever since the disappointment (for me) that was the N64, and my defection to the Playstation, I have had a desire to play Nintendo franchise games, but that desire has not been strong

A lot of people are hating MS for this but is there any info on if they are behind this specifically, or if they just hired a firm for advertising that has a long enough leash that they choose this tactic?

The term objectively (which the author uses to describe his personal opinion) means "not influenced by personal feelings or opinions". What he is claiming is the very definition of subjective which means "influenced by personal feelings or opinions"

I guess knowing the definition of the term objectively isn't a requirement to write an article on kotaku. I enjoy the new look (sans the touch interface UI). Its a refreshing redesign of a classic.

She is a pretty generic character, not that fun to play considering you have Kratos, Ratchet, and Dante (my three favorites) which have their iconic attacks and are easier to control.

Its not the consoles size that was the issue, its the use of the camera accessory. Even in most American homes its not ideal without a specific setup, cut that size down dramatically and its a lost cause.

You do know that she is already in the game....right?

Once they have stock, me and some others I know are getting our PS4s free with rewards points, so I would say yes its worth it!

I don't have my PS4 yet and I still find it hard to purchase new games for the PS3. Since we have no backward compatibility, I want to phase my PS3 out as soon as I can.

We would probably have to not watch Netflix every other day to get anywhere near that, and even then, its not likely to happen. If you use Netflix as an "additional" media source, or you are a bachelor, or you just don't watch that much media on Netflix, then its possible to stay under cap, but most everyone I know

Netflix "regular use" takes up more than 150 GB (which is my cap) monthly. Other people we know use 350+ GB on netflix. So adding another "netflix" that will likely be used even more, is not viable in most of the US. Without torrenting, I regularly used 300 GB a month before the cap went into place, now I cant

Have you tried this yourself or is this second hand knowledge? It would be interesting if true, however, still requires the digital copy for the PS4, which is only a half solution. Pressing a BluRay is cheap, shipping a disc is cheap, so making an AC4 PS4 disc that will only play if it verifies the PSN would be the

Its not really double dipping, you would be paying for their bandwidth, server infrastructure, etc... A very very small portion of that would go to pay for the licenses of the games.

Lol, because that will really move the consumer friendly companies like AT&T (sorry, cant say that with a straight face!) to do the right thing! I might just move over seas.

I take it you havent watched netflix or hulu on a regular basis? Even at the best of times the quality is poor (compared to say, a BluRay), it drains bandwidth like crazy, and often has hickups or artifacts. If you have no other choice, or you want some quick, cheap, entertainment, its a viable solution (maybe to

Only, at least in the US, data caps are becoming MORE common, not LESS! In the past two years I have moved from two major ISPs (AT&T and Mediacom) as they moved to data caps with no grandfathering. Until this is solved, in the US, this is not a viable solution...maybe its time to move.

They are ignorant, its Mbps. It is standard to measure in Mbps, nobody measures standard internet speed in MBps, so worry not. Just worry about data caps, the last year or so, a _LOT_ of major ISPs in the US (like AT&T) moved TO data caps (not away from!). Its spreading like the plague with no "grandfathering".
