Extra weight, different gearing, different aero package, etc. I suspect the biggest part of that equation is the aero package, specifically the front bumper.

Oh yeah, there was a lot of “He’s not like Musk! He creates wealth!" on another thread. He didn't even create DOS, he's actually a whole lot like Musk.
Who cares what was going on in Gates’s mind when he sent the email? It reads as a purely personal request, and is inappropriate for a CEO like Gates to be sending to one of his employees, period, full stop.
Really? Bill Gates was a pretty ruthless business tycoon in the 90s, with his predatory monopoly behavior and what not. Hell, a big part of rehabilitating his image was starting a foundation (as it is for any billionaire). There are no “good billionaires” I’m afraid. Hell, even Warren Buffett is a sleaze bag with his p…
Except for the first responders who have to live with the scene for the rest of their lives.
right? you leave that meeting thinking to yourself “well I had a good run in IT, maybe it was my passion, but I guess it’s time to open a food truck or become a teacher because the IT field has officially been burned and the ground salted for me.”
And when it’s your boss, married man Bill Gates, at Microsoft where he’s revered? Ffffffffuck. That’s incredibly coercive.
That’s definitely his rehabbed image. In the 90s he was viewed as being much more “ruthless businessman" but he paid a lot of money for the Mr. Rogers image.
I feel you and agree 100%, if you going to do it don’t harm anyone in the process.
Let’s not call incidents like these “accidents” and instead refer to them as “crashes” or “collisions.” The word accident implies that the incident happened by chance and unexpectedly but most crashes occur due to negligence and/or willful misconduct.
I realize that its more of a safety thing now than anything else (either the weirdo thing wasn’t safe, or making the car safe is so expensive now they can’t afford to put money into weirdo stuff and keep the price down), so there is no comic-book-esque supervillain to shake our fists at...
This advice is caring in itself (if a leap), please know people do care about you.
There is no even remotely close to okay way for the married boss of a company and the richest person in the world to ask out a subordinate employee at his own company. At worst it’s coercing someone into sex that they cannot refuse. At best it’s creating a hostile environment because the employee has to turn down sexua…
In the context provided, there’s nuance that’s missing as it doesn’t provide enough information about surrounding actions. Had he sent an email to a subordinate saying “Great presentation, can we have lunch or dinner to discuss other projects you’d be available to work on” that would read a whole lot different *in…
Right now, the sheriff’s office has reported to FOX 4 KC that it appears the driver was simply going too fast and collided with a tree.
I get your point, but I like the reporting as it’s a tiny little bit of deterrence. Seeing what can happen at 100mph when you hit a tree is sobering (no pun intended).
I wonder if the driver liked axes and had a predilection towards small furry hats. . .
They have a ton of support from big players, so I think they’ll be fine. The Ford partnership will only help on the passenger side, and the Amazon support means they’re likely do be able to use their delivery van business as a strong basis to work off.
Tesla beat legacy automakers to market. These guys... mostly wont. So, they’re likely screwed.
