I once saw a rat gnawing on the carcass of a dead rat in a subway tunnel. Not sure why that memory is coming back to me at precisely this moment....

“... a toilet kind of just sitting behind the dining seats. Efficiluent!”

If you want to be equal parts entertained and infuriated, check out his Police Raids episode. Dude does his homework.

“And if your response to this is ‘Hey not all white people!’ maybe think about why that’s your first response.”

Yes there are some people who are truly open minded enough to discuss things that they haven’t experienced personally with sensitivity, understanding and without leaving their lane. No one’s perfect and I’m sure some errors happen along the way (no one gets good at anything without some failure) but I definitely

John Oliver is a national treasure.  Yes, we have stolen him from the UK and he is ours.

Honestly kind of surprised that this is the first his show has come up on The Root. Done quite a bit of “hey, white guy here, look at this stupid fuckery we get away with, fellow white people”. Granted, doing any of that would lead to some deep dark fuckery there to disappoint, sadden, and tarnish every part of

Rregular viewers know it’s not a surprise at all that he got it right. He tends to get it right, whether or not the topic impacts his life.

I’m not totally surprised that he and his crew did this right, because he really does tend to do the things right.

I think I understand his point when he said his opinion isn’t relevant. No one wants to believe their good friend is capable of doing terrible things.  It’s difficult to process.  It sounds like he’s on a path to understanding. He seems like a thoughtful person. I hope he gets there.

At least a Billion humans have been born and have died since Voyager 1 was launched. That is incredible alone. For a species that has produced incredible art and languages, the Voyaher missions rank near the pinnacle of human achievement, IMO.

It looks a lot better in person. I don’t know what kind of camera was used for these pictures, but the coloring is “off” and the red leather here appears almost purple-ish.

‘Rolls in the Deuce’ sounds like some kind of Southern breakfast treat that involves a LOT of gravy...and rolls, I guess.

I know your comment is snarky and not aiming at Tesfai, but let’s not dunk on a Black woman or the crew for the character’s hairsyle.

I have not and I do not plan to right now” is not quite the same as “don’t plan to work with him again”, is it?
Ah, misleading clickbait titles, we meet (constantly) again.

C’mon guys, this isn’t how you construct an AV Club headline! Let me help:

Jalopnik Law 504: Never buy* another man’s project.

The term “real money” shall be defined as any amount over $1,000.

Notwithstanding the above, this statute shall under no circumstances forbid the buying, as that term is defined in this

You guys are looking at this the wrong way. $800 buys you:

The real reason for the divorce is that Bill wanted to turn it into a subscription. Instead of a one-time ceremony resulting in a marriage, he wanted a yearly renewal.
