Similar thing happened to me with the pre-WoW game 'City of Heroes'. I played it solidly for a couple of months, ignoring things I should have been doing like hanging out with my wife (within first year of marriage, no less). At one point they added a patch where the NPCs talked to you and one of them told you how

Yeah, I consider it a kind of 'rite of passage' album. It's the kind of thing no adult A&R man in the world would have ever pushed to radio, but when you're a sexually frustrated 14 year old boy and you hear it at a party, you know you've got to get your own copy immediately. I know that happened to me as late as 1993

I know a guy named Chico. He can get you a speedball.

Add 'Mad Max' to that list.

Wait, isn't this basically the plot of Johnny Hit and Run Pauline?

And this chick is the other 10%.

And just in time for the return of Mystery Science Theater, too.

I never got that as a kid.

Yeah. Remember what it was like before iTunes and nobody downloaded music ever?

Just heard this now, so I'm going to throw this out here for no one to read: I liked this song.

I know in the case of both Doctor Who and MST3K, loyalty to former creators seems to come into play in a big way. You can talk yourself out of liking anything if you feel a strong sense of loyalty to what went before.

I understand that point of view, particularly in an era where Jem and the Holograms gets its own live action movie. I prefer to see new ideas, too.

But, to me, the fact that it's going to be All New All Different is actually a part of the appeal. Because I've got literally hundreds of hours of Mike Nelson riffing on movies if I want to watch that. I'm more interested in seeing if this new crew can continue the legacy and update it for 2015. I mean, it can't come

I kind of wish they'd just create new bots, call it Mystery Science Theater 4000 and get on with it.

That was a book I nabbed from the library. Adored it! I should hunt down a copy of that for myself.

Love both of the guys and have about an equal number of episodes from each in my top 20. But, if we're talking about the actual performance of the riffs, I guess I'm still kinda pro-Joel after all these years.

Yeah, I think that's perfectly reasonable, too. I just hope they don't end up necessarily viewing each other as competition. In the best of worlds, these guys can all cross promote each other and there's enough success for everyone.

No. But he does know how to date Natalie Dormer.

Joey Ramone is hotter than I remembered.

Yeah, you're right. Whole season ruined. Enough with the Hay Agenda, Moffat.
