Frank Grimes is a classic.

Oh boo Homerpalooza is great.

I’ve always thought that was a great episode and think the “jump the shark” notation for it was an overblown narrative.

Hard. Pass.

He’s a troll.

I won’t pay your toll.

I also used to be big fan of Johnny Depp. At one point, he was truly one of the most exciting actors working. But you’re right that lately (except perhaps Black Mass) his acting crutches have been the entire story for him onscreen.

Spielberg often does uncredited work on the screenplays for his films. There are multiple documented instances of major story sequences - or entire plotlines - being changed/elided by Spielberg and the result being a better movie. For instance, Last Crusade’s inclusion of Indy’s father was entirely his idea (Lucas

Yeah I agree with that.

“ban everything.”

I’d actually be more optimistic about this project if it was clear Spielberg was directing. Yes, he’s white, but he’s proven that he can make movies about people outside his immediate experience. Also, his work with the Jewish community gives him some infrastructure for approaching the refugee experience.

I think that’s a really heavy assumption that has not played out in reality, yet.

I think Dunham has obvious blind spots, but is also an artist who is sincere in her attempts to present worthwhile stories. I’d like to believe she’d take time to meet with Syrian refugees and learn these stories in a primary source manner.

Yeah and The Paper is pretty well-regarded, too.

And what an improvement over Johnny Depp.

Farrakhan is a problem, for sure. Trump is a bigger one, because he has a bigger bullhorn and a larger following. Your post comes very close to whataboutism, and that kind of fallacy makes anything you say on a subject worthless.

We can all see you promoting hate. You’re not a particularly successful troll.

Also: Trump wants the antisemitism to get worse.

Trump is the cause of the resurgence in anti-Semitism. And the “his son in law is Jewish!” defense is a classic bigot strawman fallacy (see also: “but I have friends who are black!”).

Trump counts on the support of the anti-gay groups. They love him, and there are many anti-LGBTQ policies and proposals from his regime.
