Audiences immediately turned on Claire Bear for being a manic pixie dream girl-esque fantasy who didn’t fit into a show where people get stabbed on the line and someone drives a car into a living room.

You know what? That’s fair, I hadn’t looked at it like that. The Doctor always knew his time with River was limited, and how it would eventually end. This is more...free.
They weren’t too much, actually.
you just have to take really tiny baby steps. Hopefully it gets to the point where you can walk with a normal stride.
all of the demos i`ve seen so far the people are walking very slowly. that seems like a barrier that they haven`t quite conquered yet. it`s hard to imagine a whole family running off in different vr directions. i`d like to see it, though.
I don’t know why, but this scene from Mad Men cracks me up to this day. Do you think Don believed Peggy’s performance and thought he had a wrong number?
There is no logical debate here at all. The Bear is a fantastic show, but it shouldn’t remotely be considered a comedy, and it’s not fair to the other actual comedies to put them in that category.
omg, this is amazing. i loved Leela, and while Tom wasn’t my first Doctor, he was the one that really made me love the series (well, to be fair, it’s a coin toss sometimes between him and Pertwee, who was also just so fun). It all looks so crisp, too.
Are you referring to their time together in the Torchwood Children of Earth movies?
I’m lucky that I only care about 3 of the games on this release calendar enough to pick them up at launch, and they’re all roughly a month apart.
Skull and Bones is about to suck..Im here for it
Oh look, 2024's off to a start with a sequel, a reboot, another sequel, and a sequel to a remake.
Taran Killam is a rare Jack of all Trade SNL cast. He can be the Glue and do killer impression at the same time. Unfortunately he always get sideline by other stronger cast like Bill Hader, Kate Mckinnon, etc.
Maybe this will free him up to do a sequel to Nobody
“Here I am, brain the size of a planet, and what do they ask me to do? Take three years to walk down a corridor to push a button and blow myself up. I suppose at least that’s something to look forward to.”
Someone had posted this within an hour of the episode airing. Just sharing.
Neat! I knew it wouldn’t work and I haven’t gotten to moonrise yet, but I DID knock her out with nonlethal attacks during that fight. So I’m curious to see if this applies to playthroughs where the knockout happened pre-patch, but moonrise happens post-patch.
With no ill-intent towards James Whitbrook (it’s a lovely, well-written review), this is an episode where I would have absolutely LOVED to still have Charlie Jane Anders around to review it. I really hope that she posts her thoughts about it on her socials, and I hope she’s celebrating it as much as so many of us…
It’s a hollow cover version that vanishes in the ether.
Lovely article! And yep, I was trying to remember what it reminded me of, and I eventually realised it was how the AV Club used to be back in the day. I really miss that.
