Go for it. I mostly trust that what Joaquín Castro and his brother Julián do in the political sphere isn’t self-serving.

I really wish they’d dump the cameo bullshit. I know they’re building up to Secret Wars or whatever, but...ugh. Just do the thing, if you’re going to do it. Why keep reminding us of other movies that aren’t “canon” to your own franchises?
Appears to have been based on one of my favorite New Yorker stories, too: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/1990/02/26/coyote-v-acme
I’d put Pluto and Frieren up a little higher, but I’m otherwise content with this list. It’s been a good year for anime.
I mean this genuinely and sincerely: these are the kinds of articles that I have missed on the A.V. Club. More of this, thanks.
Yeah, fine, sure. But it was also frustratingly stupid, and I think it would be best to just ignore it.
I finished this game weeks ago.
I’ll miss Matt Reeves and Caesar, I’m sure, but I’ve been in for these movies since the first, non-Reeves one. So, I’ll probably be there opening weekend for this one, too.
I completely get what you mean, and yet, God, I want Remedy to keep making shit like this. I crave their weird, maximalist approach to game. Their aesthetic sense jibes so well with my own that when I’m playing their games, I feel at home.
Thank you for your history lessons. My favorite bits of these reviews.
Love your history lessons on these reviews. Thanks for doing them.
I knew that the twist at the end of season 2 was going to be too tricky to untangle, but I’d hoped...because I really liked Nathan and Nora.
I’ll defend Season 2. Sure, not quite as cohesive as season one, but there were one or two of the best episodes they’ve ever done in there.
This blows. Hulu, buy it. Watching Only Murders in the Building and The Afterparty back-to-back is a great way to spend a Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
A legend. Can’t even count how many books that I’ve bought just because Giffen’s name was on the cover. RIP.
Watched it. Very fun!
Directed by Nahnatchka Khan
The Great British Bake Off tent has never, if we’re honest with ourselves, been the site of anything truly tragic.
IMO, it’s a shame because, setting aside the important cultural context you mentioned, the Gaelic pronunciation just sounds cooler.
Agreed with all of this. I was granted a reprieve when BG3 came out, but I dipped back into it. And spent a lot of time playing. I don’t do comp. But even in QP, it’s been sweat city lately, and I’m not sure why I keep playing.
