“We were trapped at home in the same house. We would write together—we’d put on matching sweatsuits—and sit in the living room and start at our computers. And then usually, it devolved into Dave as the one who is at the computer and I’m the one who’s walking around, acting out the scene,” Brie recalled, explaining

RUDE TALES OF MAGIC getting the article and respect that it deserves!!!!

She’s so cool, man.

Yeah, it’s a fun little movie that manages to stick the landing. Definitely worth a watch. Not the scariest or goriest movie (at least not until the new cut comes out), but I had a good time with it.

Castlevania was incredible, and it was clearly made with care and love. Sypha’s magic was so cool.

Dude’s a great talent, and I think he’d nail it. But it’s also time to update the format a bit.

And now for another sorrowful year without Poppy and Ian in my life. Look, this wasn’t the smoothest season, and it feels like we got here way too soon. It had some highs, but it felt more focused on “get characters from A to C” storytelling.

Definitely. The underground battling arena scene was very cool.

Do they explain why they created a robot doll that can move and act like that? Because, Jesus Christ, why would anyone design that with artificial intelligence?

Detective Pikachu takes a lot of its beats from the same game it shares its name with, though. For all its changes, it’s a pretty successful adaptation of the main beats from that game’s story. I’d love a sequel. Though I don’t know how they’d do it.

Now, why wouldn’t you have Torb as Hephaestus?

Harmon’s looking to take the story out of its original format entirely.

Honestly, yes.

Season 6 was great. It was a death spiral, sure, but it was a damned good one.

Wait, fuck, that’s the plot? Come on.

This is my chance so I’ve gotta plug This Fool on Hulu. Michael Imperioli is at prime grumpiness, hotness, and funniness.

I mean, he’s a friggin’ loser who a.) us maybe the richest man on the planet b.) happens to own to keys to what is one of the biggest websites on the internet and c.) can’t resist the urge to do weird shit to said website for even an hour. How isn’t any of that newsworthy?

Yeah, kind of got the sense this would be good for what it is. The trailer was neat.

I took an edible at the height of the pandemic and binged the first season of the series. It was, of course, the same night that their pandemic episode dropped. Messed me riiiiight up. In a good, cathartic way. Pledged myself to these writers and cast that day.

Sounds like an indulgent, overstuffed mess. Except the mess seems to be purposeful and so does the indulgence. So, yeah. Let’s go. I bet it’s a fun time at the movies.
