Oh, neat. Okay. Wife was interested in watching this one, and I was like, “seems fun but maaaaybe not?” but should make for a good date night, at least.

My only real complaint about where the Stark kids ended up was Bran. Like, you tease him becoming an omniscient watcher-god, and you give him the throne instead? That made zero sense to me, and likely came as a result of Martin’s story on that front not yet panning out. I mean, it’s going to end with the dissolution…
Other theories have speculated that the new Witcher game could be teasing Ciri as the main character because she sports a cat medallion taken from another fallen Witcher.
Don’t know much about Kamen Rider except from what I learned via osmosis, but I’m a fan of the biotech look they’re using here.
The larger the game the less exciting it is for me. Like, yeah, it’s impressive, but after a while—depending on the era—it’s verdant foliage and annoying hills that I have to get my horse over, and it doesn’t feel “lived in.” It doesn’t feel real. It’s missing the “things to do” aspect of it all. Plus, for all their…
It’s repeatedly hammered home that every Targaryen is a 50/50 shot away from madness and the Daenerys is dangerously prone to believing her own press machine, Arya was always going to murder-hobo her way through a who’s who of Westeros, and Jon Snow was always going to be the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and become…
Why shouldn’t she be? That movie owns.
Man, it’s been 8 years since GTA V/GTAO launched? I only logged in for a couple of months at a time, but I know the community’s been around for it. I think some people are even doing like, long-form RP servers? I saw one with a lady roleplaying a driving instructor. That seemed neat.
Bigger story to me is that Justin McElroy’s doing game reviews again.
My guess is maaaybe we’ll be creating our own characters this time around? I don’t know that I’d want to play as Ciri or Geralt again after The Witcher 3, you know? I got such a perfect wrap-up.
Faist was incredible.
I’m getting my Final Fantasy fix with FFXIV—Heavensward right now—so I may just wait until this is on sale or Game Pass to try it, but it looks so stupid that I am inevitably going to try it. Who doesn’t want to time travel to 2009, y’know?
I’m still on the “let Daniel Radcliffe play Wolverine” train. He could do it. I know he could.
Seyfried’s fantastic in the role. I’m listening to the “Elizabeth Holmes on Trial” bit of the Dropout podcast, and I hadn’t realized how well she’d nailed the voice. It’s damn near identical.
The second season takes all the good bits from season one and ramps way the hell up. The framing device for each episode is a weird storybook read by a certain season one character. It rules.
Evil! Evil is so fun. Watch Evil.
I remember playing FireWatch, which Sommer voiced the lead role in, and immediately being like, “oh no, does he have a wife to cheat on in this?”
Considering what happened? Yeah, he was. But then most of these dudes were. They bought what Holmes was selling wholesale, and it’s baffling. Everyone wanted this to work so bad that they refused to see what was right in front of them.
I never felt like more of a nerd than when I was nitpicking the premise of the Princess and the Frog sketch.
