This was the most cartoony that the show has ever been. Nearly took me out of the world. What with the press conference and the referential jokes. Nearly. But it managed to keep on the right side of silliness

On the one hand, John Cho looks cool as hell. On the other hand, Ein. So, looking at both hands, I have come to the conclusion that I will likely be watching this show and hoping for the best.

Head empty, only thought is that I am enamored of Sassy.

If you’re playing on a console, aim assist is fine. If you’re playing on cross-play, it’s fine. M+K will always have the advantage. I don’t have a dog in this fight, to be honest. I find the constant catering to the eSports crowd a bit of a bummer. It’s not my bag, but I get why they’ve gone that route. It’s lucrative.

It took me a bit to realize that Josh Segarra played a season’s long antagonist on Arrow. Straight-laced psycopath type. He’s so wonderfully charming as Lance—and fine as all hell, jeez—that my brain refused to believe it for a bit.

I mean, that’s great news. It had one of the Top 5 best second seasons of a TV show ever.

Also, I think bringing back RTD for one season and a fresh writer’s room could lead to some exciting viewpoints post-his tenure. He had an eye for talent.

So, uh, holy shit. I might tune into this new series. I dropped off during the Chibnall era. I watched it but in that way you watch stuff while looking at your phone. It just…wasn’t fun. There was no real sense of adventure. No sense of “anything can happen and the Doctor’s psyched about it” that made Doctor Who so

This, a million times this. I just want to be able to pick up a run where I left it. I don’t need a quick save feature. I stumbled upon an interesting area, and I want to be able to like, step away from my computer if I need to, you know? Not force myself to end a run prematurely because I’m an adult with a life

Also, a lesser show would’ve left the BBT joke at “ha ha Nandor likes the show,” but, fortunately, this is not a lesser show. Lost it at “why do they call it the Big Bang Theory?” and the subsequent existential crisis. So very good.

Think they mean the outfits that Nadja’s sporting in the intro. She’s sporting 70s & 80s wear in those photos.

I knew this episode was going to be special when they switched out the intro.

What? Sorry, Myles. I disagree. This was a solid B+.

Yeah, Hawkeye wears a hearing aid. It was an older character trait that the Aja/Fraction run brought back and did well.

The Aja/Fraction Hawkeye run is maybe my favorite short comic run of all time. It ticks all the boxes for me, and to see this show going all-in on that run for inspiration—even going so far as to pay homage to specific panels—makes me happy beyond measure. Also, Lucky! Hearing aids! Kate! Clint!

Ted clocks it. But then again, he’s also regularly seen with a drink in his hand.

I had a scary thought that Tartt Sr. and his crew were going to jump him. They’re exactly the hooligans to try something like that, especially after Beard tossed him out. Whenever a character “goes off on their own” like that, gah, I get a bad feeling. This description makes me feel better, though. I love Coach Beard.

A bit of a comedown from the last two episodes for me. Felt a little too unfocused. Friggin’ loved Nadja’s whole “I like Gail!” bit, and Kristen Schaal’s “It’s my first website, and I think I did a good job.”

I disagree only because Spike is so chill and depressed that, of course, his ultimate foil is some angry, baroque asshole with a long sword and big bird. Keep him emo and keep Spike cool.

I think he served his purpose in the OG trilogy. I’m cool with him not being here anymore. But I hope whoever is the antagonist of this film can live up to Smith at his weirdest.
