So, it was three different films mashed together. Maybe four if you count “superhero” film. I also think the fight sequences could have used more room to breathe. Zoom out, man! Set the stage and let us see how it all works. Even so, I found myself charmed by how awkwardly everything fit together during the ride, and

I will say that Wellington Paranormal uses its lower SFX budget well. It looks cheaper, but some of those “spookier” episodes can be downright scary.

I don’t know why I was worried they might not stick the landing from last season’s cliffhanger. I should know better by now. But they did it. They resolved it in a surprising and cool way. Guillermo rules.

...this show’s fun.

A true legend of the screen both large and small. RIP.

Well, shit. Guess I have to finish last season of Jesus on a Plane now, then

Twitter discourse is always exhausting and rarely necessary, even when I agree with it. I did not agree with it this time which made it doubly exhausting.

I will take a million SRIV style games over another generic open world Ubi game. And I’ll have a BLAST with them. I’m sorry, the superpowers ruled. Best superpowered gameplay that I’ve ever played. It was a power fantasy, and I felt powerful. Hell yeah.

Rachel Leigh Cook not being bigger sucks, though, because she deserved better career-wise.

The “You have her eyes” scene never doesn’t make me laugh.

Tch!

Hulk & Betty Ross: “I can’t die! / But he can’t die!”
Me, rising from my slumber to chant: “Immortal Hulk! Immortal Hulk! IMMORTAL HULK!

I didn’t love the first one, but it wasn’t bad by any means. It was a fun time at the mo—couch, but it just never “wow’d” me. I want to see more out there action sequences in this sequel. Something that maybe does more with the conceit. They’re immortal! Get wild! Use that big axe more!

I will never not laugh at that melodica cover video. Height of comedy, for me.

Let them adapt Vampire of the Mists instead. Give me that Dungeons & Dragons gothic horror flavor on-screen, world!

Dulé Hill is looking fiiiiine.

Saints Row IV had some of the best-feeling super powers of any game from that era. Looooved the jumping and traversal.

Jed MacKay is one of Marvel’s best writers right now. Black Cat and Taskmaster are both ICONIC runs for each character. Black Cat, especially, is just character defining work.
