Love Cree Summer. One of the best voices in the biz. Would love to hear more about her role as Numbuh 5 in Codename: Kids Next Door. Partly because that was my first real introduction to her as a kid. Or rather, the first time I realized that “oh! somebody voices this character! Wait—she was also Susie? And—“ And…
especially the bullet casing shot.
Wait, this is about that Hathaway?! Screw that guy!
I don’t think he particularly cared about the outcome so much as it was the first taste of “free will” that he’d had in eons. From what I gathered, he figured it was 50/50 at that point which way the ending would go. Loki would consider his offer seriously. Sylvie never would. They’d have to reconcile that somehow. He…
Also it’s worth mentioning Kang’s real name is Nathanial Richards and he’s a descendant of Reed Richards.
Jonathan Majors, goddamn. What a talent. He came in and chewed the scenery like it was an apple, and he made it mad entertaining. I had a big ol’ hunch we’d be getting Kang—or a Kang, at least—and I sort of figured he’d be a little bratty, but you can’t account for Majors’ charm, man. You absolutely believe this man…
Nah, they’re not the same person. The show’s been adamant about making it known that they’re not the same person. They’re “a Loki.” So I’m taking it as: somebody has to be a Loki in each universe, this is them. Not necessarily the same but like, someone filling a role. And even if they were the same person, it ain’t…
Oh, shoot, yeah. Makes sense. (Latest episode is the best they’ve ever done.)
Somebody nominate Evil for something. That show rules. Best special effects makeup this side of Guillermo del Toro movies.
Okay, were I Connor B. then I’d be very annoyed that Blake was given a pass by producers to go sweep Katie off her feet after she broke my heart. What an absolute dig. “You’re going home because we’re not passionate. I am sad about it for two seconds—then this lumberjack will come and sweep me off my feet.” It’s her…
The producers failed this segment. They didn’t really try to get the men to join in. I think they should’ve been required to add some sort of performance on top of their reading.
Karen Gillan is cool. This looks cool.
Mysterio is, I think, the best adaptation of a Marvel rogue in these movies. He serves a purpose. He’s charismatic. You *like* him. His betrayal is genuinely affecting as a result of how you got to know him as a person prior to the heel turn. He had a motive and a point of view. The best Marvel villains have a point…
Honestly, I kind of think “we hired this rando who’s skilled and former SHIELD” might be more interesting at this point. She kills the big bad and then Taskmaster’s like, “welp, job’s done. See you around” would’ve been a nice change of pace. Tying it back to Nat is so obvious that I found myself a little annoyed at…
Yeah, sure. The character on the screen using the name Taskmaster worked within the confines of the script that was written. She’s not particularly interesting as antagonists go, but y’know, she’s the lancer for the real big bad. That’s fine. Her ending was earned within the story being told
It’s very good.
Thank the Devil. This show’s second season is fantastic, and it’s got some of the best demon/monster character designs this side of Guillermo del Toro.
Dennis Haysbert is voicing King Grayskull
Probably just “yeah, I was experimented on as a kid, but anyway, I’m a cool P.I. now.”
