One of the things that people missed during the initial Discourse—ugh—was that the main character was kind of a shitty/manipulative person, too. It didn’t really need the ending to be what it was because the “bad date” and the premise were...kind of enough? The ambiguity of whether he was there “looking” for her was

oh god that was an absolutely miserable day on Twitter, even worse than usual

You’re right, and I’m glad you said it. I don’t like it as an Asmiov adaptation, of course, but it’s such a fun time.

Oh, Kristen Bouchard, how I adore you.

It’s wild to me that “Werewolf” or “Mafia” hadn’t been made into films before this. Can’t wait to watch this flick. Looks very fun. Love the cast.

As someone who is stuck at 60%, who knows that the aforementioned ending route is the one my V would take but is now forced to take a lesser ending path...yeah. Yep. YEAH. Dialogue choices shouldn’t matter this much for something so important.

It’s funny. Y’know, ship who you want, and if you find specific meaning in works of art, that’s great. Nobody should take that from you. Mackie stumbled over his words, absolutely.

Huh. That explains that one Max Tac encounter and some of the Max Tac texts that I found. Well, personally, I’d have hated that game. Yikes.

god under pressure is such a good song

I’m nearly finished with my Cyberpunk 2077 run. On the final mission now, which just sort of...happened.

It’s funny, both Horizon Zero Dawn and Breath of the Wild are touted as these groundbreaking open world games, but their worlds felt so plastic and empty. They’re beautiful to walk through, but they didn’t feel alive. None of the towns or cities felt real. It’s like every time I showed up in a new settlement or town,

I, uh, I also couldn’t get into Breath of the Wild. I feel like I finally have met my people.

It’s been what, more than a year since the last season? I think starting off with a “comfortable” episode was the right move. Especially since it both gave Morty a win (sort of, maybe) and Rick a loss.

Confidently and quietly Marvel’s best series. From cameos from incredibly talented comedic actors (hi, Kate Berlant!) to the good aesthetics to the ability to keep me surprised. I can see where it’s going to end up, but I have zero idea how we’re going to get there. Hell yeah.

Not exactly. Season two was better. This current season is off-the-rails. Got almost in your face Christian. And yet…

RIP, you batshit show. You wild and woolly show.

I didn’t mind the weapon degradation in like, The Witcher 3 because sharpening and repairing my broke weapons was so easy. I just ventured into town and went to a blacksmith. And oh hey, I can upgrade or sell some other gear while I’m there. I get that Hyrule is post-apocalyptic here, but commerce obviously exists.

There are just all these little things that make me bang my head against a wall. The horrible stamina circle—you’re a legendary warrior, Link! you can sprint a little bit without getting winded!—, the cooking mechanic is fine but could use a cook-book, the stress of having every single one of my weapons break after

I have until 2022 to give BotW a second chance. I can do this. I will love this game, damn it.
