Heh, I’ve finally been catching up on the Krakoa/X-stuff thanks to Marvel Unlimited. Best and maybe my favorite execution of the “mutant paradise” status-quo that an X-book has ever done. (Though I did like that one Cable/Deadpool issue when Captain America visited Cable’s Utopia.)

I love a lot about this first season. Namely, Hazel and Herbert. I found their relationship fascinating. Combative but warm. You can’t go wrong with Cristin Milioti and Ray Romano, mind. This one’s up there with Romano’s best, and I think there’s potential for him to be nominated for something.

Yeah! I want to meet the challenges that the game is throwing at me fairly, y’know? But to do that means I sometimes need to adjust my play-style. The game just doesn’t give me the option to do that easily. When it should! They want us to experiment with the classes, right?

Gabriel Luna’s a fine actor. He’s got a great screen presence, but he’s mostly played “hard” characters. It’ll be fun to see him be a little more lively and play off Joel’s gruffer character.

It’s almost impossible to really play like an “assassin” in this game. I try to hop around the map, use cover, etc., but it’s impossible to be methodical when enemies can spam grenades or blow my cover away. For what appears to be a cover shooter on its face, it’s largely unforgiving to players who want to use cover.

That’s partly why I keep spamming my Trickster’s Borrowed Time. I’ve died to often by accidentally going into a corner where I then get swarmed by ten of those machete wielding guys.

Maybe!

Dany should have torched King’s Landing harder, honestly. That place is the worst. Oh, what? Your Khaleesi turned out to be bloodthirsty? Yeah, she’s been that way from the beginning. She’s a conqueror, not a hero. I was not surprised one bit that she ended up burning it down. Do I think that it should have had a bit

I laughed every time it happened. “Here’s someone who looks interesting *DIES* and now here is their fascinating backstory, written out all tidy-like for you.”

Discovering the “Kids Show” pilot on some random website was one of the coolest discoveries kid-me ever made. Wonder Showzen’s a gem of a show. I’m happy every time I get reminded of its existence, but damn do I need to hunt down those DVDs/blu-rays. Don’t want it disappearing into the aether.

If this show tries to be a 1/4th as good as Josie and the Pussycats is, then hell yeah. Josie and the Pussycats is fantastic.

Finished my “one-to-two episodes of Elementary a day” binge. Was sad at the loss of daily Lucy Liu. This news is welcome.

Horde mode? Yeah, yes. Definitely.

Sigh, I mean, it’s Chloe Bennett. And the rest of the casting is fascinating. I’m watching at least one episode.

Andy Daly’s a genius. Juggling all those distinct characters with their convoluted histories. “I haven’t spoken in a while!” (paraphrase) had me laughing my ass off. Great episode.

when it’s not tossing annoying snipers at you

God, Derry Girls fucking rules.

I tried to watch The Crown, but I kept pausing it every five minutes to google “what’s the point of the Royal Family??????” and “can we declare independence again?????????”

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I’m a huge fan of the Scream franchise. I thought Scream 4 was a fantastic commentary on the (then)-current state of horror films and the impact of the original Scream franchise. I watched it recently, and it totally holds up. It’s maaaaaybe my favorite re-watch after the first one.

Very handy for miniboss melting
