Sounds like you want some sort of monument showing how cruel the Confederacy was in enslaving their own kids to fight their war.  Silent Sam is not that monument.

If you want nuance, put up the statue in a graveyard.  Maybe the good people of NC will think twice next time they send their kids to die for something dumb like the Confederacy.

The F you talking about? If you are talking about the McDonald’s video, she only hit him while he was hanging onto her. She came back again later on but didn’t hit him again.

You clearly did not watch the video of that incident. The white man grabbed the smaller black woman and pulled her violently toward him. Thus, it was clearly self-defense on the part of the woman. If he had hit her back, it would NOT have been self-defense on his part since he clearly instigated that fight.

This is dumb. Allowing a 30-day enhancement to the jail penalty for assault is not the same thing as saying women cannot contribute to society.
