Was going to say the same thing.

It would be like if they made a model of an American-type school, with a red brick exterior, shiny linoleum floors, tile or cinder block walls, florescent ceiling lights, no hallway windows, wooden doors, and tall skinny lockers. Not every single school looks like that in America, but it would be a pretty familiar

What I’m most excited about is the opportunity for young people to try their hand in game design. It’s cool for me and I’m sure I will pick it up because it looks like fun, but I try to imagine what this kind of game would mean to 10 year old me, and this game would have been spectacular.

I disagree. I miss games like FF6 which have more optional story lines and more than three to five characters. It made being a completionist and exploring the world so much more worth your while. Maybe it’s just a personality thing, but I could not care less about 100% completion when it’s about item collecting,

I simply don’t think it’s necessary for people, American, English, or whatever, to change their way of speaking and particular regionalisms because it might cause confusion. Ask for clarification instead of demanding a change in the language customs of hundreds of millions of people.

We know that. It is a colloquialism. Simply a common expression to denote our ethnic or cultural heritages. We know we aren’t actually Italian or whatever. Saying “I am of ____ descent” is a mouthful and unnecessary when we all know that we mean where our ancestors came from.

You don’t even need a fictional world to see modern militia/police wearing anachronistic uniforms.

I have children and I agree. I’m all for trying to cut unnecessary chemicals and fragrances out of our lives and for stricter controls on their use in the U.S., but I don’t want to dick around with experimental sunscreens.

I don’t agree about style, unless it’s deliberately offensive (like culturally appropriative clothing). It doesn’t necessarily speak to the substance of the person. Someone’s Oscars dress might not be flattering, but it doesn’t make them a bad person or worthy of ridicule and hatred on its own. I think the same

Honestly it bothers me how much hate Guy Fieri gets simply over the way he looks. Is it a little ridiculous, for anyone of any age? Yes. But who cares. It’s clothes and hair. Criticize his food or his behavior but the shit talking over his weight and choice of style is gross.

It doesn’t really bother me either way, except when one side tries to legally force their beliefs on the rest of the population. Creationists may choose not to believe in science if they don’t want to, that is their choice and there’s really no reason they need to justify it to anyone else, unless they are trying to

Not really ignore the teachings so much as believe that the teachings are figurative versus literal. Some sects of Christianity believe that the Bible can be interpreted, including using sources outside the scripture itself and science (such as historical context, other texts, etc.) Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopal,

A common complaint from people who do not fully understand evolution is they cannot believe that we “evolved from chimps.” Which we didn’t, but they misunderstand the science and believe, inaccurately, that humans were once gorillas or apes.

I get the opposite, people are always surprised to learn I am an introvert (meaning I need to go be alone for a while to recharge). They think I’m an extrovert because I am not shy at all. They just don’t understand that after a night of boisterous fun, I need to go hole up in my bedroom for a while and tune out to

I disagree. I am an introvert, idle small talk is my specialty. I just want to go take a nap after the party instead of going out to the bar for the afterparty. Or if I go to the afterparty, I need to stay in for the rest of the weekend to rest.

Come on now, that’s a terrible excuse. White women lack institutional power as women but they still benefit from whiteness. That doesn’t excuse white feminism. And regardless, far before the English took over the French Colonies New France laid claim to 5 huge territories and claimed that all the resources and the

But no one stopped him, did they?

The first prime minister of Canada, John A. MacDonald purposefully let First Nations people starve to death to make room for white colonizers to expand westward. He also established Indian Schools to enact cultural genocide.
