Don’t you ever get tired of the trolls who alternately call you a loser for not having any ideas and an imbecile who thinks he’s a genius because he has ideas? There’s no right answer for them. All they want is for you to vote Democrat without any calls or change. So take neoliberalism and ultra-hawkish foreign

I read a great point somewhere (maybe Twitter, I don’t remember) that GRRM is the person to blame for the show getting bad, not the writers of the show themselves. The argument was that they signed up to adapt a series of books into a television show, not finish a story that the books started to tell but hasn’t yet

For whatever reason, it’s really fucking bothering me that I got over the show not making sense after S5 and learned to enjoy it for what it is, and now all of a sudden, when this shit is finally an entertaining mess, everyone’s got hot takes about how “the cracks are showing” (not this article necessarily, but

This season has been so disappointing. The show-runners have basically admitted in their interviews that they decide upon “oh shit” moments or set pieces to end episodes, then reverse engineer everything to get there — timing, pacing or decision-making be damned. So the characters are dumber than ever and episodes now

-Led the first European expedition to the Americas in nearly 500 years

Nobody in either thought the world was flat. And we’ve got monuments and statues for all kinds of morally compromised figures in history.

There’s a reason why we divide history in the Pre-Columbian and Post-Columbian Era. His expedition wasn’t even the first European one to reach the Americas, but it was the first to start knitting together the entire world into a system of exchange, warfare, etc.

Iconoclast finds history to not meet his moral standards, destroys it. This is just a long trend dating back to ancient empires. The new empires finds the gods of old empires immoral and destroys them. Just like the Medes, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Christians, and eventually ISIS.

Most qualified on what grounds? Sure, she has a lot of experience. But politics is more than experience. It’s about policy. It’s about a foundational belief in what is right and wrong. It’s about social philosophies that impact an entire population.

And the Republican Party saw this comment and said, “Hold our beers.” (You just know they’re going to find someone so awful in 2020 or 2024, it will make Trump look good.)

I feel sorry for the fat, sweaty ones that relished the extra absorbency in the name of protest.

Canada doesn’t get a pass on being fucking racist either.

You forgot also using empty buzzwords, like “problematic”...

Kvetching about Tina Fey and “allies” like the top post does is what amounts to 98% of #activism.

Whatever.

It’s your problem that you’re looking to a comedian for something way more substantial than a comedic bit. That’s all this was. Stop looking to celebrities for guidance. People are perfectly capable of knowing how to feel about Nazis without help from Tina Fey.

As you note, Arnold has never been what one might call a progressive. He has some pretty toxic beliefs, in my opinion. So for someone like him to make a video like this speaks volumes about just how messed up things are in the US right now. I’m gonna go ahead and say something I never thought I would say: “well done,

“How do you know they’re in hell, Arnold?”
