Team No One.
Team No One.
I’m in the Art Department but come from a post background. But hey, I like supporting non male dominated crafts.
This was a gift from him to Donald Trump’s America.
Thank you for providing something accessible/reputable.
I want you to come back to our Dance Party in about five minutes. In honor of the First Friday of Black History Month, I’ve included a segment with James Baldwin getting interviewed about being black in America. He tells the story of how the discrimination is different when one is “up north” instead of “down south”,…
They now officially are! Begrudgingly, I imagine, given how much it must cost to shut that operation down and start it up again.
Cold temperatures are often accompanied by snow, freezing rain etc. Or even just freeze any water or slush present. Not to mention some people walk. Or use public transit/roads delayed enough its not a feasible trip. Part of “being an adult” and using “common sense” is also knowing when you should work from home, not…
As soon as the air temperature drops below 32 F you are at risk for frostbite, and hypothermia can occur at 59 F.
My wife walks to work at the U. She did it this morning and was fine, except an under-insulated length of leg that was burning by the time she got to the office. Tomorrow she’s debating taking a vacation day since it’s going to be so much worse.
Ditto Mpls area, but I’m fortunate enough to WFH the next few days. My partner and I were talking about ordering delivery tomorrow night, but if -50 windchill is too much for us to go out, it’s too much for us to ask some gig economy worker to bring us food.
Public transit is affected by weather too though.
The bus stop Wednesday morning at 5:30 is going to hurt. (Minneapolis area). As polite as midwesterners are, we are all going to order delivery in the cold.
Imperfect isn’t the worst word to use if you’re looking for shorthand. “People belatedly realized that most of the main characters in the show actually had places they could go for food and shelter but thought that living in an unheated squat and hanging with truly desperate people somehow made their strivings more…
I have a feeling they would have worked out the sound mixing for the live show given the time. The dress was probably the first time with a real audience and they were probably sitting in the booth going “Oh wow, we’re going to have to adjust these” and then nope.
I am certain that if Jonathan Larson had lived, the Broadway production would have had more changes to the structure of Act 2 and probably altered some songs. That’s pretty common between an off-broadway run and a transfer. Act 1 feels finished. Act 2 feels like it was still being worked out.
Same. Facebook hasn’t been that bad with the exception of some of my groups. Twitter tho? Lordy.
I voted for Hillary. I didn’t like her, but not because she’s a woman—because she’s got a sheen of “too-obvious opportunistic political operator” that I do not care for. (For a recent non-woman example, Castro has that sheen as well. Something about the guy is off-putting and bothersome. I don’t like him. I want to,…
The idea that a politician with statewide aspirations from Texas wouldn’t accept oil and gas related money or from New Jersey accept pharma money is ludicrous. Those are the biggest employers in their respective states, with huge swaths of the populations working in those industries. You learn how to navigate that…
Would the things that Harris did while DA be in “let’s see what she had to say” mode if she were a white woman?
You could’ve watched her interview with Rachel last night.
