It’s not.
It’s not.
The funny thing about people harping on the age of the design is that most of the cool bygone cars get comments like “I wish I could buy one just like it was, only brand new.” People are still saying that about the CRX, and that bowed out in 1991.
(It’s not fine)
You should do some research on the pricing of normal cars - they are absolutely marking up everything. Truecar around me lists an exceptional price for a Civic if it’s only a few percent over MSRP. I agree that we should care less with higher end cars, but it’s trickling down everywhere. The true price of a car has…
They absolutely mark up their shit cars, too. They just call it “consumer protection package” and throw in $6 worth of crap you don’t want along with some nitrogen in your tires and charge $2,500 for it.
Do you REALLY need this shit explained like you’re a 4 year old?
“even though I’m trying to get work done”
What an utterly avoidable problem. God forbid anyone have an actual conversation with another human being to make sure they’re getting the right toys.
For this site since the best writers left? Absolutely.
Would one photo of a dot have been too much to ask?
I there anything more apropos than Dannis writing about a recipe inspired by dropping food on the floor?
Honestly Raph, I hope you’re also eyeing the exits. Spanfeller just fucking kills everything he touches. I’m sure David and Jason had their own reasons to move on, but between Kinja, the fucking listicles, and overall decline in fun around here I’m done. I’ve removed the site from my daily bookmarks and frequent…
Don’t worry, that’s coming next. I’m going to be working this beat (lol) further and deeper.
None of that matters. If you’re making a car that is clearly meant to sell based in some part on nostalgia, you have to make sure that it resonates with the people who are supposed to feel nostalgic about it.
The issue isn’t that it’s based on the Civic. The issue is that it is literally just the Civic.
Yeah, the headline here should really be “If you’re going to buy a used car without inspecting, Carvana will treat you better than any other seller will.”
It’s not a good tip though.
It’s not actually cheaper.
“I didn’t totally grasp how the economy worked in terms of dealers and used cars”
