My takeaway from your post. Since most drivers are shit when sober, we cannot tolerate any additional impairment.

Oh, yikes, man. Bad take.
I would like you to stand in front of all of the families in Detroit (and all the other cities) that made the world move, made the economy rebound after multiple wars, and built economies around it.
As someone who spent a lot of time using public transport, the hub and spoke (with smaller network feeders) is in fact pretty great. You don’t have to worry about parking, you don’t have to beat up your vehicle on the road, and it’s easy to get around pretty much wherever once you learn the network. The problem comes…
Depends on what fast stat you look at. The LFA does *reads article* 0-9000rpm in 0.6s.
The Hellcat does 0-9000rpm... never.
jb21 summed it up best. Some things are worth more than their statistics.
I mean...if we’re going down this path, the Model 3 Performance gives you even quicker 0-60 at 3.1s for $55k.
I concur on ugly. And I saw one in person and it the build quality was terrible. It looked cobbled together, like an Celica with a weird body kit. And it was a real LFA, not a clone. I wouldn’t say they were a massive flop, but they weren’t exactly a resounding success in sales. And they haven’t exactly gone up in…
There are few endeavors more embarrassing to posterity than spending $100,000+ on a Dodge.
Who the hell would ever compare this to a supercharged V8 strapped to a fleet car Dodge?
that’s nonsense on a couple different levels.
....but you’ll be driving a $100k+ dodge lol. Going into a hairpin corner at 65mph, actually scrap that - ANY corner - at 65mph, I’d rather be in the Lexus.
Why do I feel like every design for every company is slowly heading towards a BMW M5 crossed with the proportions of a mustang...
Makes me wonder if the added weight from the conversion was a factor? (Genuine question)
Like smog checks, the extra fees incentivize people to stop hoarding and get rid of old cars that would otherwise take up space, be fire hazards, contribute to blight, or create excess pollution, among other things.
Agreed. I’ve done the 405 stop go in a stick. Did it suck? Yes. Was it more sucky with a stick? Only a little. Was it so sucky that I’d get rid of my stick? No.
Eh. Lots of us don’t mind sticks in traffic. I prefer their crawl speeds and one-foot driving over autos a lot of the time.
I drove manuals in hours long traffic on the 405 in LA. It’s shitty, but it’s shitty in anything. It wasn’t enough to make me want to quit the clutch.
Having a stick is like having more than 300hp in a car. Yeah, nobody needs it, and wanting it is irrational, and having less power provides a whole host of benefits from increased fuel economy and reliability, and reduced costs for wear items like tires. But some people just like power.
It would still be a talking point. I don’t care how good or bad automatic transmissions are. I want 3 pedals and a functional shifter for my own enjoyment.
What a dumb comment. Makes no sense why this would “piss off ResetEra”, a forum that A) has users with different opinions and B) has a lot of support for Ghost and especially the Yakuza series. And nothing in his comments are controversial at all. But sick own I guess?
