If you watch Love, Paula Pell also played Mickey's boss(?) at the XM station
Titus screaming "Guvnah!" over and over in his audition was so goddman funny!
But this person is a relative of Mike's right? The McLintock's cary buffoon genes.
I'm thinking when Veep eventually ends for good, the only way to send it off properly will be a full-on Dr Strangelove the world ends, scenario.
Playing devil's advocate, but doesn't it normalize transitioning more? It wasn't one of those awful "EW! She used to be a Man!" punchlines.
This site has changed a lot since the days of Scott Tobias, Todd Van der Werff, and Donna Bowman recapping stuff other than Better Call Saul
There has been a lot of turnover at AVC since Community was on. The person who reviewed Community is now at Vox
"…tackled the issue with more nuance?"
I wish Donna Bowman reviewed this show.
Hannibal Buress wrote for 30 Rock in its later seasons
Anyone else thinking Will jumps ship to Team Jonah by the end of the season?
"Except that interpretation of the joke only works if the viewer is already comfortable with the idea of rape culture existing."
Well, it sounds like your roommate is a very stupid person, and unfortunately there is no accounting for that. Tina Fey's shows are playing to the top of people's intelligence. If everything was catered to teaching your dumb roommate right from wrong, we'd all be dumber for it.
I enjoy Duke more and more with every re-watch. His reactions to "Cork" are gold.
His reaction to being rejected stripped the character of any dignity he may have had. He didn't come off as a threat to Kimmy, just a little boy trying to be an adult.
The joke about Mike's transgender relative was so innocuous. It is nothing like the parade of gratuitous transphobic jokes on How I Met Your Mother.
That's American politics, bay-bay! You're one or the other!
Exactly, the guys didn't understand consent. I believe the point was that b/c that 17 year old dude used the correct words/phrasing and asked for permission, that he was entitled to get his way. Having him literally cry and call his mommy made him seem way less like a douchebag and more just a confused child.
Hey, we've reached something resembling an agreement!
