It is not so much the money that is an issue, for some there is the gargantuan time commitment Destiny requires.

When it comes to Destiny, the quote, “Those that don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”comes to mind.
Something that im sure has already been mentioned, but I’m going to bring up again , when we the players invested in destiny 1.0 it was a rough bumpy ride, and too boot we added fath in the other DLC even though what did they really add ? And then as everyone know things get better over time! We waited and now after…
To me honestly, I’m done. I bought an x/1 and destiny day one. I played it a ton, to the tone of 300 hours. I enjoyed it only when I played with friends. However it was fairly glaring that there was so much content stripped, lost, removed, or obscured from day one. I expected this grandiose story and immersion and…
So glad someone mentioned this. I refuse to purchase TTK because of how much money Bungie/Activision has already taken from other players and I alike. I do see how much it has improved as a game with this expansion but leaving the Year 1 dedicated players behind with absolutely nothing to do is disrespectful. I…
The business model promoted by Activision is a detriment to the gaming industry. It’s already been confirmed that the story of Destiny was scrapped a year before release (check out the lawsuit of Marty O’Donnell vs Bungie if you don’t believe me).
I bought the Destiny PS4 and I had to leave my 360 Hunter behind. I’m already a lv 38 Hunter on my PS4 and I’m about to start diving into TTK stuff finally.
That’s why they call the expansion The TAKEN King, right?
This is why Im done with Destiny, the way they have handled this is just pathetic and awful.
Add to that the initial game was just lacking everywhere in content and yeah, there is a reason to be pissed.
Of all the game choices out there for MMOs, Final Fantasy and Elder Scroll Online are a much, much better choice, with…
We’re dealing with growing pains, here.
“Vanilla Destiny players can still access all the original story missions and raids, but they can’t do heroic strikes or nightfalls anymore.”
People have an issue with paying for an expansion that contains content they already paid for in the past. This is something that happens with expansion, hell some games like titan fall give away the expansion pack for free. Yes, difference between expansion pack with story and extra content and simply adding maps.
This seems rather shitty. Let’s look at two alternate games and how they upgrade (or appear to be planning to upgrade):
I don’t think that it is fair to ask players to pay more money for this content. I uninstalled Destiny a long time ago, after I exhausted the original game and first two expansions. I will not buy your $40 mark up for a DLC pack. I don’t care how much content you added, you lost a lot of players like myself because…
Thnk god someone actually step out and speak about this this is totally unfair, Destiny is the game I play the most, day 1 alpha tester, beta tester and day 1 player of vanilla game, and I felt robbed, thst’s not the only problem I play in a single PS4 with my brother we have our own accounts, so when Dark Bellow came…
Bungie has no idea what expansion packs even are. They’ve turned Destiny into a subscription based instanced MMO. The fact that expansion packs REMOVE content shows their complete lack of understanding of what makes an online game live for a long time and garner true love from fans.
Bungie / Activision seems VERY intent on forcing people to pay for the same content twice. First with the pricing schemes of TTK (which they then changed after people flipped out) and now by removing access to content players already paid for.
The lack of content in the original game was what made me stop playing, but…
Well Activision has to get its 500.000.000 $ back somehow ...
Those modes went away on Sept 8th, not the 14th. They ruined the game for vanilla players with 2.0.0, not the release of the taken king. What Bungie did is not right. They have a funny way of showing customer appreciation. I pre-ordered taken king btw.
Cool, and I can’t sell this crappy game either. Nice. Last time I waste money on anything bungie related.
