I'd bet cash money that thing never left low range when in service.

I am guessing the author also thinks millennials will be the death of all cars in the next year or something equally as retarded.

In the US, the Defender name borders on cult status. A NAS D90 goes for upwards of $50k and a NAS 110 goes for $80k+. Imported Defenders start at around $30k. Now mind you these are 25 years or older as the US customs has created an entire team to prevent newer ones from getting as grey laws prohibit anything newer

"The important thing is to get the proportions right, give it a distinctive silhouette and wider appeal. A Defender doesn't have to look overtly functional. We are taking a more sophisticated approach.

This is so awesome, why can't Land Rover be more like it's sister company when it comes to embracing the past as well as the future?

Blame emissions standards for that one, they take the average from all the vehicles being offered so with only 4WD offerings, LR were forced to make the change. I would rather they go back to a 2WD/4WD t-case, but this is cheaper I guess... idiot bean counters ruin everything.

They are the most reliable unreliable vehicles.

Happy birthday HUE!

I've almost done that to my D2, was quite a pucker moment. Definitly sunk it in the mud though.

Going on previous experience of products (with moving parts) I've owned that were made in China, this thing will probably send a piston through the sump after about 200 miles. I do question them bringing in a Raptor in for comparison though. That's like copying a marble sculpture using shit and then displaying the

It was decided that it would serve my best interests not to attend the event...

As someone who regularly wheels with guys in their LR3's and LR4's I beg to differ. My next DD will be an LR4 and I'll definitely take it off road. Maybe not rock crawling like I do in my D2, at least not at first lol.

Does it have high torque cams in it? I would much rather have an engine with low end grunt, like a 1HD-FTE or something along those lines. It's all well and good being able to lay down a strip of rubber on a tarmac, but when I'm trying to climb over a log or something I'd rather not have to worry about burning out my

They don't break down, they leak and take "little rests" here and there.

From everything I've heard, LR is thinking about making the Discovery a range of vehicles instead of just one.

My buddy in my Land Rover club has an invite to this and I'd be his guest if I was not on my honeymoon at that time. The event is April 17 I believe. Sigh* the things we do for love :/

One of things I don't miss about South Africa. The problem with what most people who are saying what they would do is that these shit stains normally find it easier to kill the driver and just take the car. The price of a human life is allot cheaper in SA.

WAT!?! Also Deutschland über alles!
